From the rebelsofficial twitter account:

Rooney replaces Vuna, Kingi to 14 actually #FORvREB

Team has been announced: Hendo, O'Neill and Gerrard are back. Kingi moves to the wing, replacing Vuna. Pyle on the bench #FORvREB

Whatever happened to publishing a team list with numbers?

Ripia is not only a good ball distributer, but also a very astute tactical kicker.I think(if fit)he should be be in the starting lineup.

Anyone in the vicinity of McGillivray could see much swapping of vests. He can't be thinking 10 Ripia, 12 Fairbanks, 14 Shep, 15 Rabs!

They're not swapping prison vests and about to be shipped off to Casurarina prison are they! As long as they all get on the park for Saturday....in whatever positions, I will be happy. Use the best talent in the squad and lets crank it up against the Rebels. GO Force!

Growden & co would have to be front-runners for rating Gene Fairbanks' performance in game against Stormers 5/10. He didn't play!

Typical. Maybe they watched the game but had poor player recognition. As mentioned on the non-set pieces thread: Matt Pearce (or it sounded like him) kept calling 12. Sefania as Fairbanks. Yabbie must have been one of the players affected by a bug that some of the team had and pulled out late.

I'll be disappointed if the guy in charge of playing music at the ground doesn't play The Imperial March or the Mos Eisley Cantina Band song.

Had to laugh at what Laurie Weeks tweeted today, was something along the lines of 'heard the Rebels were making progress in Libya, never knew we had such a solid North African following!', and then 'Apparently Gaddafi is trying to eradicate the Rebels...obviously a Force fan'.

It's always interesting to get the results when I put "western force" into google news...

How did Richard Kingi get a wing spot ahead of a JP Du Plessis or Betham? I know he went alright at fullback last week, but let's be honest here. Also it can't be good for his game being thrown around the backline. We have already seen what happened to Josh Holmes we don't need two 'left right out's' running around in Aussie rugby teams.

I think Kingi would be better at 12, with morty back at 13.

He was a 10/12 at school and in colts before going away with the 7's. 9 is where his future is but I think he has the game to fill in most spots in the back line. He has played quite a bit at 15 for Sunnybank over the last couple of years. Saying that I don't think he a Super Rugby winger.

From what I've seen and heard du Plessis' decision making is absolutely horrible. Great athlete, shocking rugby brain. Betham, not sure, they really don't seem to rate him at all - I'd take him over Rooney myself. Kingi on the wing isn't that big a surprise, he played their for the Wallabies dirt trackers a couple of years back didn't he?

My biggest disapointment in the Rebels team is dropping Blake. I thought his try put the team on the right track last week after being down early. His scrummaging was good and thought he did quite a bit of work around the field. How he was left out of the 22 is a big surprise to me.

Whoever it was that stepped on Ripias foot in that trial match should be shot. That said, as with the rebels at the Eureka stockade in the 1850's this should end badly for the Rebels. GO the Force!

The Mayor of Perth

Ted Fahey (11)
It's bullshit that he either starts at 10 or nothing, especially when he's lineball. And there's the first 'A' game curtain-raiser ever in Perth. Start him in that for 20 mins AND put him at 21 if he comes through that okay. Unique options Sat night. So now he'll front up at 10 against the Tahs the following week 'a little short of match practice', against BB or Kurtley.
