Force v Highlanders R8

Donaldson was pretty mediocre, particularly his kicking for sticks.
Disagree. Whilst his goal kicking was off, his kicks to Poolman were spot on and on other days would have resulted in tries. His speed off a Force break to set up Potter was pretty handy too. Like to see him run more, as that is what sets him apart from our other 10’s. Whilst I didn’t think it was his best night, ’mediocre’ would not be how I would describe his game. More… solid.

Donaldson controlled the game well to secure the win as mentioned numerous times by the commentators. A nice try assist for Potter showing incredible speed, kicked well to the corners, got good distance with his field kicking and generally mixed things up in attack. Had an off night with his goal kicking but still kicking around 80%. One of the best for the Force in an excellent team performance.

I’m starting to come around to Swain for the Wallabies. Donaldson continually does 3 or 4 aimless kicks straight down the throat of the opposition which is the one chink in his armour for higher honors. It’s Lynagh for me at 10.

Will Harris had some nice touches. He looks the goods.

He was hammered in a tackle just before he went off. I only saw it live, it looked a bit suss, did anyone get a second look at it?
At the ground it looked like a no-wrap flying tackle, both live and from the head on replay on the big screens. I’ve just watched the Stan replay and it is from side-on and isn’t clear.
