In hindsight, last years results were an anomaly. Hodgson did the impossible and lead from the front. Dragging the team to wins they probably shouldn't/wouldn't expect to normally win.

The sad truth is that we are about 5 quality players away from being a finals contention team.

But I take heart from the quality players we are developing in Godwin, Burton, Coleman and Koteka. If we can keep those locals and build a good nucleus around those guys there is hope for the future.
I'd like my future in the next 2 years timeframe. Still think that there are guys that could be playing better in different positions. Badger hasn't got great service on the wing. In to 13 and Mitch on the wing Godwin to 12.

Hoffman was useless. High tackles. Offside and just a heap of calls not made. Ebberson running back was jump on while on the ground. That's a penalty every day.

One of the force biggest problems is the wingers. We have 2 great wingers but the ball never ever gets to them.

Last year we played well and had some calls go our way. I actually remember some. Of the games remembering the other team. We're hard done by the ref. Not this year

Just rewatcning it. We get pinged for sealing the ball off immediately in the game. The cheetahs go on doing it all game and no problem. So did we to be honest. Mcalman gets pinged for not releasing the tackled player even though it looked like he was just completing a tackle and didn't slow the ball down. 3 points for the cheetahs. Then 2 minutes later the cheetahs do the same thing. Slow the ball down and Hoff asks the cheetahs player to release instead of penalising him in front. Alby was pissed off so was I. Cheetahs player playing the ball on the ground when we are 6m out. Should of been a card. Not only did he play the ball of his feet but he dragged the ball in and should of been pinged for not releasing as well.

Yes we made Mistakes. I don't necessarily think we should of won either but the shit calls just pile up.

Could set your clock by Shiggins.

I actually gave Hoffman MOTM in my review. I thought he was excellent.
Wow. I rewatched it and couldn't disagree more. That cheetahs number 7 is a coward as well. Starts shit with the small players and then runs scared when the big boys come in.

Man it sucks to be an Aussie rugby supporter. Thank god the Rebels had a bye.
Oh my God. The Force should be angry with themselves. They should have had that in the bag. How many times were they on the attack in the Cheetahs 22 after 10 phases of trucking it up and next minute they were defending in their 22 after a mistake or some luck/arse from the cheetahs.
FRUSTRATING!
One reason they lost is that they did not pay the Cheetahs defense the respect it deserved, They were like a brick wall in defense....and what did the Force do? They kept trucking it up one out into the eye of the defense for the full 80 minutes. Not smart. No imagination or creativity.
I remember just once an angled run when Sias Ebersohn cut back in on an angle. He was clear, but was quickly gobbled up by the defense. Why oh why didn't they do that more? Is it really that difficult to do? Do they actually train it? To persist with the same game plan for 80 minutes against that defense was just dumb. 100% for effort but just dumb.
What has happened to Kyle Godwin? Last year he was good at hitting the line and getting the ball away to supports. He seems to have lost that part off his play (could be the switch from 12 to 13??).
That Luke Burton is all guts but not sure he should be the guy hammering it into the defense. He look too small.
I don't think the bench added much for the Force and not sure why they replaced Matthewson. He is class. Prior quickened up the service but that grubber kick was plain awful and dumb.

GOOD POINTS FOR THE FORCE:
The Force scrum was immense. They came out on top of a Cheetahs scrum that has quite a few test caps I believe in their front row.
That Kane Koteka is very good. He's probaably a Kiwi. Pity he wasn't a few pounds heavier though.
I also thought Nathan Charles (some excellent tackles) and Steve Mafi were good. I believe Charles is worthy of higher honours.
Haylett-Petty goes all day. I've never seen a fullback in the line as much as him. Full marks for effort and toughness but I think I saw him apologising to his team mates 4 times for mistakes (and that was before his knock-on near the end) and that is a little too much. I can't help but feel he overplays his hand.

BEST ON FIELD: The referee. I thought he was very good. Only 1 or two glaring mistakes. I liked the way he controlled the game.

GAME CHANGER: That Pieterson drop goal. I think the Force were gob-smacked at how easy he made it look....especially when they were taking over 15 phases to get close to the tryline and often blowing it with silly little mistakes. That put the Cheetahs within 1 of the lead even though the Force had been making all the plays and dominating for the most part.

Well my tips are up the shit. That's what you get for having faith in those overpaid pussy cats that play for Australian teams and play DUMB DUMB rugby.

I'm gonna cop it from my Kiwi and Saffa team mates here in Tokyo.

Yeah, fair enough. I do remember the Cheetahs (One-eyed?) being mighty quick to race up in defense and questioning whether they were offside.

Stat's don't look good for the force. Line breaks force in front with 4 to 2. Missed tackles. Force 5 cheetahs 23. Tackles made force 53 cheetahs 137. 10 all in handling errors. Possession force 62 percent cheetahs 38. Time in opp half force 63 percent cheetahs 37. Time in opp 22. Force 9.01 cheetahs 3.49 how did we loose?

Do you think the Force belong in S15 rugby?

Don't recall the Stormers winnin. g the title yet. Do you belong?
Your fellow Farce supporter have a massive problem with Saffer teams strength while his province havent won a single match vs Saffer teams in 2015. Whats the Sa vs Aussie teams score for the weekend?

Talk it up, Oom.

There is no prize for 2nd to 14th and that is where all your teams will finish.

They will choke.

Kiwis will win the cup. Australia will win the spoon.

Time for a new coach. Foley has proven he can't take the Force to the next level. Last year seemed his high water mark. Force just haven't evolved to keep their opponents guessing. Bloody shame because last year should have been the beginning of bigger things.

Foley used to trot statistics out like this when he coached the Waratahs (as did Hickey). The answer is the same - it's what you do with the ball that counts.

Hell what a sad tosser you became. Luckily Hoffman is an Aussie ref, no wonder he dont understand the scrumming rules. He sure is the worst S14 ref, that I'll give you.
