Force to be challenged by a Mungo side?

I'm not really too concerned about this. The Force and rugby in general are really starting to build a base here in WA. League has a lot of ground to make up and I'm not convinced that they really have the resources or the game plan to be the dominant rugby code over here. With the expat Saffer and British populations here who have no major affinity with league, I don't know how they are going to build their audience beyond the core group of die-hards. I don't have any stats to back it up, but my general feeling is that rugby is bar far the more followed of the two codes.

I have a limited experience with WARL and their development strategies. I'm not trying to Mungo bash here but to say they are poor is being very generous. RL has next to no profile in WA and what it has ususally relates to player mis-behaviour. On other sites their are those who will tell you that it is growing but actually seeing it in action truth be told its not. I'm not worried that it will take any of its market share more that they will at least attempt to pillage Rugby's junior ranks as they have done for decades for talent.

I actually see RL in WA as an indictment of RL outside of NSW and QLD. WARL juniors regularly win the National Championships (they don't include NSW or QLD) and witnessing it first hand the standards are pretty poor. Doesn't say much for the games strength outside of its East Coast fortress'.
