Signed Scoble as well. Great hooker.

The force guys playing for other teams are doing well. To me it looks like the rebels are the best team in the conference atm and it's because they are using there force players the best.

The Brumbies don't even have verity-amm on the bench hahaha. They have no idea

I’m not sure what former Western Force bench player Verity-Amm has done to demand selection as yet, but I’m sure he’ll get his opportunity, particularly with former Force starting winger Chance Peni not looking up to scratch.........

Peni has been fine. As good as Speight. Its just one of those things. Like the badge. For a good 18 months I was saying he should be at the wobs. Then they finally picked him when he wasn't even in the same form. And Sharpe.

Good names. I haven't followed the new comp closely but who are the other teams Force will be playing?

Apparently this year we might be playing Fiji, Samoa , the rebels , crusaders and a couple other teams.

The Indo comp won't start till next year

The ACT Brumbies are set to explore playing options in Asia before considering a chance to play against the reformed Western Force, which could pave the way for a potential development partnership.

Four former Brumbies were unveiled in the Force's 26-man squad on Tuesday as mining billionaire Andrew "Twiggy" Forrest attempts to save rugby in Western Australia.

Forrest will launch and Indo-Pacific Rugby Championship next year with the Force as the competition's flagship team, recruiting Tuggeranong Vikings coach Tim Sampson to lead the side.

The Brumbies were invited to be a part of an eight-game series in June, but it's understood the Canberra club is instead looking at opportunities in Japan, China or Singapore for a mid-year match.

However, the Brumbies are keen to work with Forrest and are open to making the trip to Perth at the end of the Super Rugby season, which could trigger the start of a player pathway system.

Ahh ok, wasn't clear on the proper comp's starting date. Be huge if the Force can get some wins over established Super teams

WESTERN FORCE RETURNS IN NEW WORLD SERIES RUGBY

The Western Force is back. A team of homegrown and international elite talent will return Western Australia to the rugby field in just 59 days
.

Launched today by Andrew Forrest AO, the seven match World Series Rugby (WSR) will introduce fans to an exciting new game of rugby in 2018, trialling new initiatives designed to make the game super spectator and player friendly, before evolving into a fully-fledged international competition for the Asia Pacific region in 2019 and beyond.
“We have rebuilt the Western Force as we develop our tournament and we now have a wholly integrated community and high-performance club as the foundation of the future competition,” Forrest said.
“We have serious ambitions for this great team and for rugby in our region and intend to see these ambitions through, starting today with the launch of World Series Rugby.
“We have already begun reinforcing grassroots rugby across Western Australia with a fun new RugbyRoos program encouraging kids aged 4 to 12 to take up this great game. Our new and dynamic series will continue this great work, bringing in a whole new support base for the game, inspiring young players and attracting important corporate interest.
“The focus for 2018 is to reintroduce and reinforce professional rugby in Western Australia for the benefits of our grassroots community, our players and our fans,” Mr Forrest continued.
“In 2019 the WSR will evolve into a high-calibre, international competition with the goal of making rugby the community-building sport of Asia.”
For the Force players, their future has been secured. Seven challenging home game matches have been announced and for the Sea of Blue, Western Force’s loyal fanbase, 2018 will deliver rugby unlike anything seen before.
WSR will be accessible for new fans and existing loyal fans alike. It will be affordable, fast and highly entertaining both on and off the field each game day.
It comes as a new look for the Force is unveiled with a fresh logo designed to reflect the club’s strength and courage.

“The Force fans have been such a crucial factor in the club’s, and ultimately the sport’s, future in WA,” Western Force chief executive Nick Marvin said.
“We want to show our gratitude by bringing them matches which will entertain, inspire and leave them on the edge of their seats.
“The best way West Australians can continue to show their support for the Western Force is to wear blue, get down to the seven home games and get behind their team.”

Membership prices are $100 per adult and $50 for kids - with a big but they don't include tickets! Last season my family of 5 got to all super games for about $500 so hopefully the tickets are reasonable because at the moment we will already be at $350

So for a family of 4 you would pay $300 to be a member and then still need to buy tickets? That seems odd, can't really see what you are getting for the membership apart from the ability to get a discount and to sit with other members? Maybe they're trying to develop a 'hard core members' group to sit together like some of the soccer teams (Wanderers) have.

Depends on the discount. If significant enough, then it gives you the flexibility to buy what games you can actually go to.
