Not practical KOB. There'd be somone then suggesting the deed had been done and tnere'd be no good served by any comments that went against the selectors/coaches.
At least rugby supporters have progressed to realise we are fighting a war on talent with league especially which we don't do so well fighting for our schoolboy stars but do better in later years for proven talent with aru top up money. Most of the debate is on timing of selection for wallabies - and not the fact we have poached a league star. Which is good in my books as other codes have no such concerns!!!

I think rugby fans and traditionalists are finally growing up accepting we need to compete for stars in other codes to even up the ledger on league poaching our school boy stars as they don't seem to get so hung up poaching from another code. In time with the advent of the professional game I think more and more fans will accept things like koroibete selection for end of year tour in terms of wild card events to move the team forward and win games. As winning in the professional arena is the number one kpi that secures financial returns and benefits that comes with.

Rugby as struggled in this country as not faced up with the realities of professionalism. I see signs those at the top are slowly realising that which is positive signs.

There are many examples on many threads here of League poaching (if that is the word) schoolboy and junior rugby players, but I wonder if it's the same at senior club and higher level? I can think of Jordan Rapana, but am not familiar with any others in recent times. Are you able to add to the tally?

And I'm not sure that, if indeed it is happening, that League fans don't have any concerns. They seem go out of their way to denigrate any rugby players, suggesting they couldn't make it in their game.

We could go all the way back to the 50s, 60s and thereabouts to see the numbers and quality of rugby players who went to League, like Summons, the Thornetts, Fairy, Price, et al, and a bit more recently to someone like Ricky Stuart. I just don't see this code hopping by established rugby stars happening often since the game went professional.

Maybe I'm missing something?

I think the loss of Tomane was one of the reasons for signing Koroibete. Joe was going overseas to earn big bucks regardless. The reality is that English and French club contracts are worth much more than ARU top-ups. There's going to be a continuous flow of Wallabies to Europe for money and there's nothing we can do about it.

Joe was already committed overseas before Koro was a twinkle in Cheika's eye.

He's one of my favorite players and the most exciting winger in Australia but he's also been regularly injured during test windows for the last two or three years. That makes it very tough to lock down a spot and secure a big top-up, regardless of how good Super Rugby form may be.

Had a look and Joe has played just one test match at home since the Lions tour - and only 4 in total.

Such a shame, we never got to see what he really had to offer at that level

Re Pocock and Hooper, if I was in charge I'd start one of them against Wales and France, and the other against Scotland and Ireland, and then make a call for the England finale based on their performances and the overall balance.

Wow Just read the Home Page article of Godwin re Stephen Larkham.

Haven't seem a better suck up job in my life except that little prick Johnny in Year 3 (when Johnny was 16 )

From a discussion on twitter it seems like there will be no FTA coverage for the Spring Tour.

The Wallabies games will all be on beIN Sports after they outbid Foxsports.

And they wonder why League and AFL are dominating crowds and viewers, they literally make it hard for die hard fans to view the game let alone new fans.

I might be wrong, but i thought that as a consolation to EPL fans when they lost the EPL broadcasting rights they included beIN in the standard sports package? So if you have Fox you should still be able to watch it, at least.

Foxtel subscribers can still see the game on channel 513 (beIN SPORTS 1) at 1:30 AEDT. Not sure who is doing commentary.
