They have 48 hours to cite I believe, and then the player will appear at the judiciary at the first available opportunity.

I could be pulling that out of my arse.

no you don't understand.

What year were off field citings introduced?

Prior to that point only if a player was sent off were they suspended.
At some point they started reviewing matches and issuing citings. I did a search and cannot find when it first started. Found when red / yc cards were introduced and when yc's meant 10 mins in the bin (they didn't initally).

Hooper to the bench, Fardy to 6, Pocock to 7, Tamani to 8. That gives us more impact in contact and at the breakdown. Hooper has the pace to come on later and keep up the tempo.

We won't get up and it won't be because our cattle. it will be because in comparison Cheika is tactically inept to Jones.

Sounds defeatist but when the shoe fits?

Seems like it was 2005 that this process was initiated.

I had thought it was after the Lions Tour in 2005 where Brian O'Driscoll got dumped on his head but it was in place prior to then (that game had a citing commissioner).

Chek doesn't use "finishers" anymore, maybe call 'em "canon fodder". Poor buggers can't do anything in less than 15 minutes Blokes getting a couple of minutes is ridiculous (unless the starter is dominating).
<snip>
Do Bench players get match payments if they don't take the field?

It has traditionally been the case that for long tours like this (anything over three weeks I think), match payments are split throughout the squad and everyone gets paid the same.

I heard a fair while ago that the touring squad, whether playing or not, share equally in the money at the end of the tour.

They total up the match payments for all games and divide it by the squad. Dunno about the "development guys). That would mean Chibba gets the same as say Stephen Moore or Pocock - even though he's been injured for the vast majority of the tour.

Not sure if that system is still current

Think that's great for the group as a whole

Murray kinsela posted a great in depth analysis of how the Irish attacked pocock. I'm sure fast Eddie took notice and probably posted the article on the training wall.

We need more protection for Pocock as he's getting mugged out there. Big blokes like Timani smashing a few white shirts in contact will help. If it turns into a brawl so be it. We need to let these guys know that we're not mucking around out there.

I so want to wipe the smile off that smug prick EJ (Eddie Jones)'s face and put his white walkers to the sword. I'd settle for a one point win sealed by a droppie in the 83rd minute though.

The whole problem their his backrow team mates Mumm and Hooper were no where to be seen helping him

I wouldn't have Cooper on the bench. Chek loves Foley and will never really replace him and give the other bloke real time. And Foley is a tough durable little bugger who doesn't seem to get injured very often anyway.

Reckon our forwards will get plastered this week (again) so I nearly go for a 7:1 bench (although I don't know if that has ever been done ????). We certainly are missing Coleman but hopefully Timani dies some wrecking ball shit out there. Fast Eddie tactics will once again show the Pooper should be put on the shelf. Torid affair coming up.

Plenty of bragging rights on offer

Crikey Scrubber, you're a bit tough on some of our players!!

Yardes a whole load of not much and Joseph has been quiet of late. Wood and Hughes are certainly far from the strongest back rowers in World Rugby as well.

There are definitely weaknesses in this English side.

Second row, however, is not one of them. After losing Itoje and Launchbury and still being able to field Kruis and Lawes is insanely enviable. I suspect both of them would walk into our starting XV as it currently stands.

It'd be fantastic to see Te'o get a run for obvious reasons, and Marler to provide us with some scrum penalties (provided the refereeing is held to a better standard than last week).
