"As a result of that, with the second yellow, Australia went without a player for 30 minutes and that just shouldn’t have happened."
Interesting math. The 2YC/R was in 43rd min. So that's 37minutes. Plus 10 for the original "infringement" = ...30? Try 47 Paddy.

Like I posted earlier with the direct quotation of the Law. None of the tackles we have seen cards for except for the JdV (and it was marginal) involved a player getting lifted and turned past horizontal. The refs, and it comes from Paddy "the appologist" Obrien need to rule according to the Law. Go back one page on the thread and read the Law upper body and head contacting the ground first in a dangerous manner, it is clear and none of the sin bins we have seen this year have met that. The refs have all been consistent and that led me to the view that they have received a directive regarding it.

I will say no more.

Zomg, you're saying it's true. PdV was right! POB is executing a dastardly plan to rig the RWC for NZ :O I knew Pieter couldn't be wrong!

He also knew (or should've) known of the ref's call to cut down on slowing down play

Pray tell HOW he should magically have acquired this knowledge? Osmosis? He was in the bin when all that happened. Neither Rocky, nor Deans, nor any other player made mention of it to him, then he fucked up. Regardless of the warning, he didn't need to do it then, but he's not a bloody psychic.

Correct MrMouse! If somebody is in the bin, they should in no way be passed on information regarding warnings etc that happened when he was in the bin! All part of the punishment!

???

If he didn't know, then the issues in the Wallabies are far far deeper than I was aware of.

MrMouse, I think your math is off too. Paddy's number should have been 37. The second YC was fair, so that cancels out the minutes for the first one. We were unfairly a man down for 37 minutes, according to the IRB.
