My First XV changes a lot depending on who I've been watching on youtube and stuff, at the moment the backline is very Canes dominant, I was considering putting Weepu in.

Disagree - the French didn't pick their best players so have can we assess them? Be assured they will be picking their best players for 6N. As for Heineken Cup form - if the premise of your thread was that form below the test level was valid then you should have given that as one of the determinants, but some of us who appreciate the difference between test level and lower levels may not care to participate.

Most of us who use the forum are acquainted with 3N and the EOYT tests. Let's see the Europeans play in their most important tournament (except for the RWC) first.

Besides, as spikhaza mentioned, this thread was done recently.
If you dont like the thread, dont comment on it. Simple. And how can you just judge a team/player on the 6nations when England and Ireland (the 2 favourites) have a stack of injuries and nowere near their full teams??

McMeniman?

You've got to be trolling...

That guy wasn't even a first choice Wallaby lock...

To be honest, he's not even cut out to be a test lock anyways...

Received the most votes in the John eales medal Tally for the 2009 Spring Tour if he had stayed on for 2010 he may have gone on to win the lot.

McMeniman didn't play on the 2009 Spring Tour. You're thinking of Palu.

Sorry 2008 He started in every match except HK & the Barbarians where he came on as a sub. His votes rolled into the 2009 John Eales medal.

He only started at lock in ONE of those matches. Help weakened the scrum against France when Deans decided to rest some players.

He was never one of the top locks in the country, and only ever played there when there were injuries.

He's just not big enough to be a test lock. Blindside flanker was his position.

And besides, that was over 2 years ago.

Not very current.

At 200cm and close to 115kgs 3M was more than big enough for a test lock. His workrate and physicality was not a problem either, neither was his mobility or lineout work. 3M went much better at lock than blindside for me. Questions about his scrummaging aside, the problem with Mcmeniman was obvious and is why he went overseas.

I'm surprised by those stats...

Anyways, it's still laughable to suggest he's currently world xv material when he hasn't played top grade rugby for a few years and wasn't even a first choice player for his country...
