Crusaders v Reds 9/03/25

Well…. Let’s hope the Reds have some troop coming back for next week, because some of those who played tonight deserve to be dropped.

I thought they would be lacking combinations and get caught out in positioning, but pushing shit passes just isn’t on.

Overall I've been pretty impressed with refs in 2025 SuperP. And I would have given benefit of the doubt to BOK.

No more. That bloke isn't just bad for rugby he's actually making interpretations that are dangerous to the players. The guy should be fucked off to never be allowed on a rugby field again.

OTOH Crusaders win that game with or without BOK and that dirty pratt Reece. Well played Saders even if against a second rate Reds. Let's hope we start seeing some injury returns very soon.

Well that was another crazy enjoyable game. Reds weren't as bad as score indicated I thought, but the way teams seem to be playing mistakes are costing points a lot this year. Reds looked to be missing some of their midfield ? Just weren't as clinical through that area as they have been so far this year.

Yep two things can be true at the same time. O’Keeffe stunk and was running around with an erection for anything Crusaders today. The Reds also rocked up thinking they could play like they were the All Blacks vs Namibia - no hard stuff, flinging everything around and we’ll score at will. So dumb.
This is mostly accurate but not quite in the sense that the forwards were very effective in open field and doing a mountain of hard work, it was the patchwork backline throwing it all away.

Losing Annan, Aubrey, Grealy and JOC (James O'Connor) in the offseason has really hurt they playmaking stocks, from the inside back and fullback positions..

Once the Reds lose Campbell and Flook from the backline, the playmaking options are almost non-existent outside of the 5/8.. and that isn’t a position of strength either

I wouldn't wanna look too closely at Wilson's turnover stats....

Seems the Reds really live and die by the sword of the short pop passes off the forwards. Works when it works but when the passes are either ill-advised or just don't fall the way it needs to it's not great. Feel like they've been quite rudderless since Lynagh went off with his HIA against the Force. Can't fault HMP having a crack and his effort but just doesn't appear to have the same ability to organise the back line and something is missing in the backline defense as well.

By gee, I like this Les Kiss , speaks a lot of sense there after the game. Vey much nail on head about trying to go wide to quickly! They had most of ball etc , and perhaps didn't finish as they would want.
