Last time they met, the Rebels won and were on top of the world.

Cut to this year, and things are a lot different. Rebels demoralised, Crusaders at home.

Will be an interesting match on Sunday afternoon.

Everyone thought that Force vs Saders, and Rebels vs Force would similarly be foregone conclusions.

Don't be so pessimistic.

Who knows what's going to happen with this one.

Hope the Rebels can pull off a 80 minute performance and keep the scores respectable.

And the Saders still have players away - Sir Richie of the Cloak and Lord Daniel of the Boot.

They are ripe for plucking if the Rebs approach the game with the same vigour and enthusiasm that a Year 12 boy rips into the parties on the Gold Coast during Schoolies.

A defeatist attitude is only going to end up in one result.

Cue that perennial misery-guts Private Frazer from Dad's Army - "We're Dooooomed". Of course you are if that is what you think.

Be Honey Badgers and lift your game. Fire up.

Looks like the sheep shaggers will be running the under 18's out.

No Contest. I wouldn't be surprised if Robbie "I can't play sport, and am so pissed off at all the jocks at school who used to bully me for being so puny and un-athletic that I will now con them into giving me all their money in a one sided and futile game of chance where the I set all the rules and the odds" Watercloset suspends betting on the event.

The Australian conference is outperforming the weaker NZ Conference like the respective economies.

Man up Rebels and do your bloody job properly.

Someone who doesn't support the team can hardly lay claim to being a supporter.
I hope the team takes a better attitude than some fans.
Rebels by 5.

?

Good looking team.

1-8: Henderson, Robinson, Weeks, Pyle, Neville, Saffy, Fuglistaller, Higginbotham
9-15: Phipps, O'Connor, Vuna, Sidey, Inman, English, Woodward
Reserves: Horie, Alo-Emile, Jones, Delve, Stirzaker, Roberts, Mitchell

Woodward at fullback (Y)

Jones must be carrying a niggle or being rested.

Robbie Fruean does not appear to be in the Saders starting team. Dan Carter on the bench. Corey Flynn getting his 127th cap this game putting him just 2 caps behind Reuben Thorne.

I think this game could actually be a lot closer than people are predicting. The Rebels would have to draw some inspiration pre-game from their victory over the Saders last year so I would not discount them. Personally, I was there in Melbourne last year & saw the Rebels beat the Saders, so I'm hoping for a crushing one-sided victory to the boys in Red & Black ;)

Tom English on the wing against the Crusaders ha.. this is going to get ugly.

qwerty51 what's wrong with English? I am actually looking forward to seeing him (a young guy) get a decent go. So he can show us what he's got. So far in his two matches he has played 5 minutes and 2 minutes plus there has been another three matches where he has sat on the bench for the entire game.

crusaders wings don't exactly fill me with fear.
whitelock is an average winger and guildford is, in my opinion, the most overrated winger in international rugby.

Whitelock is a reserve level winger at best, if that. Guildford has plenty of class, but we have yet to see a lot of it this year since his "problems". Dagg's been good, but not yet outstanding. Dagg's been doing enough, but he has the ability to rip holes in teams and he hasn't done it this year.

The Crusader's normally have the ability to make average outside backs look like champions, and champion outside backs like world beaters. Without Carter, Read and McCaw a lot of that threat is diminished.

That being said, they are still a good side when they get going, but this year's Crusaders are not a patch on previous years.

The Rebels are a chance, but I still think that they need to show up in top form and the Crusaders need to be a bit off.

Let's just say the only reason he's been selected is because he plays for Uni. Not up to it would be an understatement.
