One cause for concern that I thought came out of this game for both the Hurricanes and ABs was Dane Coles' line out throwing and the Canes line out in general. Surely Coles will be in the thick of All Black selections and this could be a serious liability if he's playing the best footy but can't nail his throws.

^^^^^^^^^^^ there's a fairly long tradition of good-to-very-good AB hookers who couldn't throw for shit: Mealamu, Hore & Flynn to name but 3 of the most recent. In Coles' favour is the fact he'll have guys like Retallick, Whitelock & Read as targets which has gotta help.

The Canes LO looked unorganised the whole match. Not just the throwing which was generally poor, but there were several miss timed lifts.

Was good to see the Saders actually competing against the throw tonight.

who wouldve thought, the venerable & magisterial M.Nonu and C.Smith with 2 brainfarts, 2 tries, game over.

Captain Conrad completely stopping for a knock-on, his man wanders in for trytime? jeez it had to be a knock-on, he's standing right there, why else would he completely stop like that? Surely not just because he's a lawyer and therefore he's convinced himself he's always in the right?

Speaking of irate gesticulations, M.Todd screaming at the ref was some pretty ugly poofball carry-on, whatever happened to marching them 10 ref.

i believe it was Socrates who said "even a clock made by a blind man in Onehunga is right twice a day".

So is that a "Fuck'n hell yeah! Bring it on Muthafuckas!" or "I'll have to have my PA check my schedule & let your PA know if I can fit you in" ?

A great rugby sage was old Socrates.

But which Socrates is he quoting?

And how could a blind man from Onehunga possibly know the difference?

No offence Cyclo, but I'm glad we live on opposite sides of the country mate. It'd be a little too close to home, so to speak, if I were to inadvertently front up to your practice as a patient (even though we only know each other virtually!). I'm sure your hands are warm and gentle though ;)

Saw a Force fan as a patient the other week - lives over this way now. Had the hide to wear Force gear to the consult! ;)
I was nice to him in spite of the severe provocation. Something about an oath.........
