Thats not how it works in incestuous Cantab land and you know it. Its a glacially slow succession programme strictly accessible only to ex-Crusader stalwarts. Mauger is next. Then Leon Mcdonald will become his assistant. Then coach. Mapped out until 2030.

"Kieran James Keane (born 9 February 1954) is a former New Zealand rugby union player and coach. A second five-eighth, Keane represented Canterbury at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1979. He played six matches for the All Blacks but did not appear in any official internationals."

Qualification enough, surely. Straight swap, Leon to coach Tasman, Keane to assist Blackadder AND TEACH THE FUCKIN BACKS TO RUN STRAIGHT. Like he used to back in the day IIRC.

By the way, I know Blues have dibs on first NZ team coach boning in 2015, but Blackadder has to be looking shaky. He's done nothing with the Saders..................

To be fair they've made the playoffs every year he's been in charge & the GF twice which isn't too shabby. But next year will be his 8th in charge & that's long enough in my book.

To be fair WOB, if Blackadder still got a season to go, Keane may do more good in Blues territory, I somehow think he would be a good fix it man up that way. Not sure Crusaders are going to be a great fun to coach over next couple of years if they haven't bought some decent inside backs. They'll probably be chasing Marty Banks for a start.

^^^^^^^ dear God, NO! Exposure to D'Auckland at this point in his career is NOT what KK needs right now. Let the Blues sort their own shit out, they've got 4 x ITM Cup sides worth of playing & coaching talent c.f. our 2 FFS :)

Ok WOB, I do hear some good things about the coach of the Taniwha, so perhaps he can do Blues:p. We'll just leave Keane at Tasman huh??
