On the tackle height change, from watching the Shute Shield this season my view is that it has had zero negative impact on the game.
There's been some penalties for tackles above the sternum but broadly it hasn't meant that players can't tackle properly or defend. It's definitely a positive change. It makes far more sense that we create a bigger delineation between what is a red card offence and what is an entirely legal tackle.
