One of the funniest lines I have ever seen on this forum - great stuff Barbarian.

Damn straight.

Not sure I'd fancy The Poo's sloppy seconds.....

I don't know about that. I mean, have you seen where the guy has been?!

From my limited viewing of televised Shute Shield there are a couple of centres who seem to be penetrative runners. I know he has his detractors but Tom Carters, directness and attitude might be good enough for him to be a bolter.

Ben McCalman could be bolter for Wallabies' tour of Japan and Britain

Western Force recruit Ben McCalman has emerged as a potential bolter for the Wallabies' tour of Japan and Britain, while former Test prop Greg Holmes could be recalled after an absence of two years.

McCalman, a second row/blindside flanker, is the aggressive type of forward that suits the Wallabies' style of game. A former Australia Schoolboys and under-20s representative, McCalman has been compared to Western Force and Wallabies back-rower Richard Brown.

He was a member of New South Wales Waratahs' academy this year before signing a two-year deal with the Force. Wallabies coach Robbie Deans has stated he was prepared to pluck players out of club rugby for the tour, which includes a Test against the All Blacks and the first grand slam in 25 years.

Along with Wallabies assistants Jim Williams and Richard Graham, Deans will attend the Sydney club rugby grand final between Sydney University and Randwick at the Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday.

McCalman is expected to play in the second row for Sydney University, going head to head with Randwick's Wallaby lock Mark Chisholm.

But at 192cm, McCalman would be better suited to blindside flanker than second row at the Super rugby or Test level.

There will be several other players who will be looking to impress Deans in the grand final, including Randwick No.8 Stephen Hoiles and winger Francis Fainifo.

A 40-man Wallabies training squad will be named early next week. This number will be trimmed to the mid-30s for the touring party.

The 30 players in the Wallabies' Tri Nations squad would all be expected to make an expanded touring party, although second-rower Nathan Sharpe will have a fitness test on his injured shoulder.

If Deans decides to rest any veteran players, it may open the door to newcomers and old faces alike.

There is speculation Holmes, who played 13 Tests between 2005 and 2007, is being considered to bolster the front row depth. Although he has always played loosehead, Holmes has the potential to play on both sides of the scrum, which may enhance his selection chances.

There is also talk of Waratahs outside centre Rob Horn and Brumbies five-eighth Christian Lealiifano also making the squad.

Nothing would surprise me now. We've seen enough strange selections to expect anything.

Looks like Cameron Shepherd is seeking to learn from the Poo. Although I think plenty of other footballers have gone before him on this one, such as SBW in a toilet cubicle.

Following the play-by-play of our sports stars' love lives can get a tad confusing at times.

When it comes to swapping partners, the Eagles are top of the ladder, with history showing a few of the players really live up to their "players" description.

But the latest rumour about love within our top sporting ranks seems to be a dodgy one.

Glamorous ironwoman Candice Falzon, who has dated a few sportsmen in her time, has denied having a relationship with hunky Western Force player Cameron Shepherd.

Rumours are rife that Falzon, who recently broke up with Eagle-turned-Lion Brent Staker, had begun dating Shepherd - who himself has a history of dating hot ladies who love a good sporting star.

Not too long ago Shepherd was seeing hot swimwear model Siobhan Parekh, but it seems she has flitted back to Sydney. Of course, Parekh is the ex-girlfriend of tennis ace Mark Philippoussis.

As the rumour goes, Parekh has swapped Shepherd for West Tigers NRL player Benji Marshall, but who knows if there is any truth to this part.

Falzon, who heads off to compete in the gruelling 30km surf ski paddle, run, swim, beach run Coolangatta Gold competition in Queensland tomorrow, categorically denied she had ever dated Shepherd.

"I know Cameron through friends," she said. "But we have never gone out on a date. I don’t have any time for men at the moment," Falzon said.

Falzon said she hoped to catch the Perth Glory match in Queensland during her time at the competition.

Oooooh yeah, and lovely Candice used to go out with Braith Anasta, Matt Henjak, and some Sydney FC player.

She's alright when she's all done up:
