I do like the fact the lions supporters in Melbourne have had the opportunity to go to 3 different games this week. I was over in Brisbane last week and would have loved the opportunity for a second game to go to.

Same with next week they should be trying to entice the lions fans to go to north Sydney oval on the Friday night to watch wallaroos vs wales, any excuse for a beer for them

Absolutely amazing how much top line conditioning can make a good player a great player. Puts Hooper's comments about not being ready after a Japan season into context. Some of those players like Speight and Tomane aren't too far out from professional rugby but without a season of gym and speedwork they look like ass.

On the other hand, Nathan Charles was playing better than ever. One of the few players to have actually slimmed up and gotten faster. Good on him, he makes a decent fullback.

They actually telecast the game here in NZ last night. I watched and had laugh for about 15-20 minutes, and went to bed and told Mrs tv was stuffed, everybody was running in slow motion on it.
But it genuinely looked a fair bit of fun, and as someone who waddles around playing a bit of Golden Oldies until I was about 58yo, I have to say I loved it. Isn't this a great game, when we see these things being played. And how desperate are we in NZ for rugby of any type we broadcast this stuff live!! :D :D
Genuinely felt good after seeing it.
