I was just thinking Gilbert's red card will probably an example used by WR (World Rugby) when they explain why they won't go along with 20 minyes stuff, personally I thought it was a dangerous dumb act that should of lead to his team being short for whole game!
Agree. As blatent an act of foul play as you will see. However the 20 minute card would be fine if the judiciary was more sever and didn’t just give out discounts to suspensions like free hugs.
I guarantee he’ll go in and apologies and they’ll cut it to 3 weeks. When there should be no discount for something so obviously intentional.

Just saw the highlights - no yellow card PT for the bloke kicking the dudes arm as he goes in to score... how'd they reason themselves out of that?

Yeh got to admit this is the sort of tackle where a player should go off and not be replaced for the entire match. Sort of tackle where he should get at least 6 weeks with no reduction as type of tackle where could lead to serious injury. Michael Hooper post match interview not happy about it and as he stated expecting to see Gilbert out for some weeks.
Well he will be out for rest of season anyway

Nic Berry being Nic Berry I think. A situation where the slow mo makes it look better than it was. You had to look at it in real time to see banks stutter step to ensure his foot got in the way of the attempted try

Pretty happy with tahs and depth building in backrow as thought Gleeson been good in matches he has played in and getting better and hanigan was superb of the bench today. Greet to have Ned back.

Best part of the win is sets up nicely for good crowd at next weeks final match against the blues at Leichhardt and to “fill the hill”
Don’t worry about ‘fill the hill‘....it will be .. how the hell can we all fit in there!!

You can't "kick" the ball with your shin so what makes you think you can "kick" someone's arm with your shin? Start down that road & nek minit there's all kindsa kicking going on.

Are you suggesting players are free to run around flinging shins at other players trying to dislodge the ball...?

For what it's worth im pretty sure you can very much kick things with shins.

Google says kicking requires the foot. Right you are.

Still seems odd.

The Laws say you can't kick the ball from a carrier's grasp & obviously you can't kick their arm to make them drop it. Knees & elbows appear to be also verboten but I can't see anything in Law 9 Foul Play that says you can't otherwise cause them to drop it. One of those grey areas that occur so rarely there's nothing to explicitly cover it & probaly nor should there be, otherwise we end up with a Law book the size of War & Peace pre-editing.

^ well according to the Laws of Association Football & Cricket you can't do any of the things the Laws of Rugby allow so what's your point, exactly?

Agreed. Gleeson has been evolving well. Some nice carries. Actually, the belief and philsophy they all seem to be buying into about it being a whole squad/team effort is really showing on the field. Even when they're not getting it perfect, the intent and desire to scramble and give it another crack is there. Win or loose, they finally feel like a team you can really get behind.
Yep interesting that marky N in post match interview called out the Change in management as the biggest thing. Everyone buying into Coleman’s mantra.
Yeah, I'll be going:)
Yeah I am going with big group - got tickets last week
