The Waratahs’ run home to the play-offs has been given a boost with scans revealing Izaia Perese’s knee injury is not as bad as first thought.
Still digesting his side’s second-half slump against the Hurricanes on Saturday night and contemplating resting some key forwards, NSW coach Darren Coleman was pleased to report his star centre could be available for a likely qualifying finals clash in three weeks’ time.

Coleman was talking about resting and rotating players, and I fear Gamble might be one of those rested. I mean, Hooper's not a bad backup, but it'd be great to see them pair up again.Hopefully Hooper will be back to pair with Gamble. That new combination was pretty successful with turnovers. I wonder if Hanigan will be fit, will be good to see him on the park. Perese will be missed.
Fingers crossed the refs don’t ruin the game with a misplaced card.
I’m excited, go Tahs!
