There were a few big names in the French A squad:
9. Julien Dupuy
10. Lionel Beauxis
15. Maxime Medard
16. Benjamin Kayser

So this was no walk in the park. Congratulations to Canada on the win.

Thanks for posting that. Wow, what a great win for the Canucks. There were some big names there for France A also weren't there? Not too long ago Dupuy, Beauxis and Medard were first picks for Les Bleus.

Yeah, thanks for posting. I'll have to go watch the game now... have it saved on DVR.

If America or Canada actually win the Churchhill Cup it will be the biggest thing to happen in rugby for very very long time. Fingers crossed.

Still the next frontier of Rugby professionalism is probably Georgia, unless I'm mistaken.

that's a great result, eh? too bad england beat the US to make the championship. god knows why it's in new jersey of all places and not denver where the rest of the tourney has been.

What happened to Brian Erichsen's head? 2:43

It looks like one massive rucking or a bear got to him.

Just finished watching the game. Great game. Shows what can happen when a stronger team going through the motions (France), plays a weaker team at the top of their game. The Churchill Cup is doing a lot I think for the development of players in North America.

How was the dropped ball though? Seemed that every third pass and two out of three kick receptions were mishandled...

Yep but Dupuy got a suspension for eye gouging (six months) and just came back. Medard lost is spot to Poitrenaud, he's too inconstant and arrogant. Beauxis would be my first choice as a fly half but is too often injured. Most of the team was experienced so this defeat is a shame. But congrats to Canada.
