Frustrating that once again, they can string some good attack together, but the other facets are so inconsistent that the overall package remains shit. Story of the season. Ironic that they get 3 points from a tackler not releasing - this has to be one of the most inconsistently applied penalties from what I'm seeing - ref could have called it half a dozen other times. Chiefs don't need all the opportunities that Tahs are giving them.

i dont think our 7 is part of the defensive problem ;)

Ha! True dat. The defensive structure of being so narrow really gets found out by Kiwi teams who are so good at getting it wide quickly and out-flanking it. Especially when a tackle or two gets missed, you just can't give kiwi teams that space.

also gives them so many opportunities to go for the offloads, and as we can see once teams get a roll on with confident offloads they start to hit the groove and just pull off more of them.

Ahh the 'Tahs support play is atrocious. They have made a heap of good breaks and there has been players with them yet their positioning is so frustrating. They never seem to understand what lines to run or where to be. Killed so many moves.

Yes Waratahs are trash but forward passes leading to tries are becoming a recurring problem. Happened last night to the Reds, happened tonight to the Waratahs. At least check, what do they have to lose?
