Wow, well done Reds, it is the same way they beat the Crusaders, everyone said the saders just played shocking, but the way the Reds defend forces mistakes out of teams. Although it effected the team missing both Ioane and Hynes in defence out wide, with the wingers and tuinuri jamming in all the time. However this was fixed possibly by some words during halftime.

WOW. Off the ball defence was supreme, a real testament to their 10/12 channel that hasn't floundered half as much as the Waratahs'. Great spirit, didn't kick the ball away all match neither. Well done Reds.

Van Humpries audible in the huddle: "We fucking rolled these fluffybunnys, ok".

He was actually talking about rolling the Force next week. No love lost there apparently

Haha, fair go he did too!

Van Humphries, Dan Braid, Scotty Higginbotham, Ant Fainga'a and the rest of you in red, give yourselves a pat on the back boys. Really set the precedent for Aussie teams with that effort there. Top draw

I thought the commentators made a good call (? TJ I think) that Mooney deserves some credit for getting some of these guys into S14. Link is certainly putting some steel in there - their defence and aggression at the breakdown is a big step up from last year and they thoroughly deserve to have the Crusaders and Chiefs scalps in their belts.
As Biffo said - strong Qld rugby is always a good thing for Aus rugby.

Jeez well done. Sure the Chiefs were coming back from Safferland, but that's two from three Kiwi teams. The Reds have gleaned at least one point from every game they've played in which could be important toward the end of the season. Points on the road are worth solid gold.

Missing Link yet Nick?

Great effort from the Reds, played with finals like intensity. If they just cut down a few of their mistakes they would really be putting some of these teams away. Of course the Chiefs made their fair share of mistakes as well.

I felt the Reds had to battle a few home ground calls tonight as well - the Chiefs advantage seemed to last a lot longer than the Reds one, and they got away with falling on the wrong side of the ruck while trying to compete a lot.

Va'alu has probably played his last game for the Reds, making twice as many mistakes as the next person. Morahan and Chambers showed a lot of potential, but obviously also need more time. Turinui got caught out for pace a few times, but overall his game was good, while A Fa'ainga is starting to show international qualities. The wallabies could do a lot worse than having him in the squad.

There will be an inquisition down at the NSWRU is the Reds finish on top of the Tahs this season. :p

No inquisition: just sack Hickey.

And yes Muss - I was against him being sacked in the first place. He's like Hickey, but with actual flair.

We were never meant to beat the Crusaders, but we did and quite clinicly at that. Chiefs are good but most deffinatly beatable with the team we will field. Crikey, the let in 65 points against an oponant. Reds can win this one and I will be tipping them again.

Yahoo, go the mighty Reds. Wished I had put money on it.

That was great to see..I started drinking heavily at the 10 minute mark, and thought we were rooted when va'alu got carded. Might have to give Van the points this week for his post match comments! There seems to be some real passion for the team this year, they all looked gutted at last weeks result, and it was good to see how much this win meant.
Done my tipping results the world of good as well :lmao:

thanks to the person who pointed out the reds were at $7. They were even higher on betfair and the 1-12 sets me up for tomorrows races. :thumb

Hallelujah, miracles do happen!

Haven't watched the game yet but stoked at the result. I'm thinking the forwards must have been awesome.

Well done boys.

Agreed you could do worse. He is playing damn well BUT surely is a new 2nd 5/8 is added to the Wallaby squad it'll be C Lealiifano.

As if there's room for anyone with the stunning form of boring barnes and gutless giteau.

Nathan Sharpe (72)
If Barnes and Giteau start playing 12 regularly we could see them get back into form. At 10 they've both been shite.

Well done the Reds - it was looking ugly at 15-0 but what a great fight back.

Genia was sublime - not only the best halfback in the world but becoming one of the best players in the world.
Cooper started poorly but turned it around well. With Cooper playing this well (and dependent on staying out of jail), Barnes and Giteau may be competing for the 12 jersey...
I slagged off Weeks yesterday but I have to say his scrummaging looked better last night albeit against the weakest of the NZ front rows. If he keeps it up he may be an option.
