A lot of them were school masters, Henry, Hanson White.
If they were at least offering legitimate arguments about why White would be the frontrunner (and there are many, don't get me wrong)
Cant they act more quickly? if we lose some in the crossfire then so be it.Perhaps we could all chip in to have a few Egyptian generals flown out for a few weeks to sort out the ARU decision-making process.
I personally think it is pathetic that supposedly "high ranking" ARU power brokers and certain board members have expressed a clear provincial bias against McKenzie through claims like "he's a forward so he can't coach backs", "take your reds hat off" and "he wont be coach as long as my arse is pointing down".
I honestly cannot believe that these men are allowed to even have a say in some of the most defining decisions in Aussie rugby history. It is quite clear that they have no fucking predisposition to do what is best for one of the nations powerhouse sporting codes but rather put petty state rivalries ahead of the betterment of rugby union.
If they were at least offering legitimate arguments about why White would be the frontrunner (and there are many, don't get me wrong) I wouldn't have a problem. But so far the only people I have seen presenting these are those on this forum and in the media. At this stage, if White gets the job, I think McKenzie has the right to feel somewhat miffed at the fact that these idiots in the ARU (who by the way, refused to move rugby headquarters from the fricking useless coffs harbour to the home of rugby at Ballymore) simply passed him up because he was part of the QRUs massive financial and sporting success.
I know you didn't and if I misrepresented your position I apologise. I was clumsily trying to give everyone the heads up as to what I am told is the thinking of a certain senior board member.Inside Shoulder Didn't say there weren't.
Inside Shoulder Didn't say there weren't, in fact I said there were many. I just feel as though the only things we've heard are purely political and show that the ARU aren't looking at this in the light of what is best for the team.
In my view, Link doesn't take sh*t either. It's one of the reasons Quade thrives at the Reds, because he is given boundaries. He was an absolute foll prior to 2010 with his mullet hair cut and self obsessed attitude, by 2010 we'd already seen a massive turn around (but clearly not enough from the events of last year) and now, I suspect after some work with Link and to a lesser extent Nasser, he has shown a lot more maturity than I thought he ever would.
White will do a bloody good job whacking them in to line, don't get me wrong, but I think the disciplinary styles of the two coaches is different and we may see a variation in on field performances depending on these styles. The young, extremely talented, arrogant, self obsessed bloke did extremely well under Ewen so that's why I'd be leaning towards him considering we have JOC (James O'Connor) and Beale. But White clearly knows how to lock down a squad (there have actually been complaints from brumby players about how strict the approach is) and make them perform at their best.

Really?
I have always thought Link was too indulgent with him.
QC (Quade Cooper)'s behavioral problems only stopped when he was ass whipped by the ARU over the toxic crap.
Link has many strengths, but strong discipline with the petulant members of the squad,is not one of them.
Yet.
