Pathetic if 9 are only showing Wallabies pool matches on FTA plus finals. Another case of a program/event being treated like crap once 9 gets a hold of it. The rights to other games should be given to ABC or SBS if they don't use them.
Just ridiculous. I'll congratulate them on showing all the quarters games and onwards. I half expected them to only show the wallabies quarter final....
I would love to know the ARU's thoughts on this programming schedule. it defies the imagination that a network with 3 channels and zero good television shows, can't find the time to play any of the non-wallabies round robin games, given that RWC is the second biggest single sport event in the world. regardless of its population in australia, it's the world cup....people will want to watch the all blacks, england, france etc. an immense source of frustration.
If they refuse to show the other games, alternative networks should be able to at least purchase them off 9. i am sure ABC and or SBS would be more than willing to.
I mean for god's sake, it is league finals, it is afl finals. people are sport mad at the moment and will watch whatever is on. why not dedicate GEM at the very least to showing games.
