Dear CAS,

This is your formal warning that Knox is entering its villain arc this season and it’s already looking grim for everyone else. You thought 2024 was bad? Baby, we were just loading. Now the boys have been fed, hydrated, trauma-bonded through hill sprints, and spiritually reborn via ice baths and 'Lose Yourself' on repeat.

We are not coming to play respectfully. We are coming with chaotic line speed, unreal phase play, and a team so locked in it’s giving cult. Our No. 8 has entered his “don’t talk to me unless it’s about protein” era. The backs? Moving like they're coded in Unreal Engine 5. The forwards? Built like NPCs in their final form — and they’ve got unfinished business.

This isn’t rugby anymore. It’s a cinematic universe. You’ll blink and suddenly you’re down 15–0, and Knox is already jogging back like it's light work. We don’t play halves. We play spiritual awakenings. One try at a time.

So to the rest of CAS: be afraid. Not because we’re cocky. But because we're right. Screenshot this. Frame it. Print it out and hang it in your changeroom. You’ll want to remember the moment Knox announced the storm was coming.

Respectfully but not humbly,
Nice.

Is the apple chapel pregame ritual still a go or nah?

My Predicted Ladder
1st Aloys
2nd Barker
3rd Knox
4th Waverley
5th Trinity
6th Cranbrook

ALOYS
St Aloysius is the talk of the season and for once it’s not just about grit or effort it’s about results. The 2025 squad has completely flipped the script. They’re not underdogs anymore they’re frontrunners. The forward pack is finally matching it physically with the best in the comp, dominating collisions and setting a platform every game. The backline is sharp, clinical, and not afraid to throw the ball around. But the real change is belief these boys are walking into every match knowing they can win. The culture has shifted and now Aloys is setting the standard. Unless someone finds a way to stop them, they’re going all the way.

BARKER
Barker came into the season with high expectations and for good reason size, experience, and one of the deepest benches in the CAS. Their style is physical and their set piece is reliable. They’ll dominate most matchups and will push every team they face to the edge. But against a resurgent Aloys squad that’s hungrier and playing with more freedom, Barker may just fall short. They’ll still rack up wins and likely beat the rest but this year, second place might be as far as they go.

KNOX
Knox continues to be one of the most structured and well-drilled teams in the competition. Their fitness levels are top-tier, their defence is disciplined, and they rarely beat themselves. But while their systems are solid, they sometimes lack the spark and instinct that can turn tight matches into wins. Against the top two sides this year, that difference in flair might be enough to hold them back. They’re a smart footy team and they’ll win plenty just not quite enough to top the ladder.

WAVERLEY
Waverley started the season looking like contenders with a strong pre-season and good depth across the park. But the second half against Scots exposed some real cracks. Composure dropped, discipline went missing, and suddenly they looked vulnerable. There’s still plenty of talent in this squad, especially in the outside backs, but they’ve lost the aura they had in recent years. Unless they regroup fast and fix their defensive structure, they could slide further than anyone expected.

TRINITY
Trinity has been a team full of effort and intent but not always consistency. They had potential to be a surprise packet this season and they’ve shown glimpses of it, especially in the way they play around the ruck and use the width of the field. But when it comes to the physical grind, they’ve struggled to stay with the top sides. They’ll be competitive and push teams, but not quite enough to break into the top four.

CRANBROOK
Cranbrook is always up for a scrap and never short on spirit, but they’re lacking the polish and depth that’s needed to compete across a full CAS season. Their forward pack battles hard but often gets outmuscled, and while their backline has some spark, it’s not enough to carry the side. Injuries and inconsistency haven’t helped either. With stronger, more structured teams ahead of them, it looks like Cranbrook will be bringing up the rear in 2025.

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... BOYS AND GIRLS... RUGBY FANS OF ALL AGES!

Tonight — under the Friday night lights, where legends are made and boots become hammers of destiny — the unstoppable force known as the Waverley 1st XV steps onto the field ready to rewrite the laws of rugby physics.

Facing them? Trinity. Brave? Maybe. Prepared? Doubtful. Because tonight, they're walking into the Tamarama Tsunami, the Bondi Bruisers, the Clovelly Chaos Crew — otherwise known as the blue-and-gold wrecking ball that is Waverley.

We’re talking crunching tackles, lightning-fast backline moves, and forwards who eat rucks for breakfast. These boys don’t just play rugby — they bring a full-contact symphony.

So lace up, look sharp, and pray for Trinity’s scrum, because tonight the Waverley 1st XV aren’t just playing — they’re putting on a show. And spoiler alert: it ends in WAVERLEY DOMINATION.

LET'S GO WAVERLEY!

Cheers Boys,

Respectfully, if Knox Vs Joeys last Saturday was any indication I don’t think anyone should be too concerned about the threat of Knox.

This Ladder isn't completely horrible apart from the fact that you have the worst team in the comp for the last billion years placed at number 1. Aloys hasn't won a CAS championship since 1978 almost a half century. They certainly aren't going to win it this year mate. Not ridiculous to say that Aloys won't ever win again.

Cheers boys.

I would say sleep tight, but its not going to be pleasant for you. I would watch out for jake granvill ambush attack.

Im out.
Not sure why you would ask to keep the forum strictly on rugby and then talk about a 'Jake Granville' ??? ambush attack. Again please keep the forums about the CAS rugby. Also Bob please refrain from using AI in ur responses.

Thanks gentleman, Scrum on !!!
