There's a shortage of good young number 10s in Australian rugby. Its a good opening for the NSW 10s next week.

Just back from Sydney , while there i got to go to the Waverley v Cranbrook match , been a while since i was at Queens Park , last time i played there the ground went the other way .. watched seconds and most of firsts and was really impressed with style and execution, moving the ball , lots of unloads backing up ,, good fast pace , Brook were brave but outclassed , enjoyed it very much ,, hoping to get up for the Knox match which should be more competitive from what i read here ,,,

Hi WLF, not sure if Trinity were down a few players.seemed to be most of the same boys from last year. They were strongish in the forwards.not much chop in the backs. The Knox team is a better team this year IMO, theyre quite big and not trying to play with as much structure.
I think your suspicions might be correct...hopefully both teams are undefeated for the last game. See you there.....

axel, I would think that now you are past Trinity it is plain sailing, you are clear favourites. See you in the last round, hopefully on Knox 1.
Wouldn't that be wonderful!

WLF, far from clear favourites......your boys hold that tag. Knox 1 would be a great way to finish.......fingers crossed and see you then.

Ha axel, should be a good game, hope the weather is nice and both teams at full strength.

I too am concerned about Aloys and Cranbrook, but I have heard some fathers at Cranbrook, some I know well, are fed up with the status quo, as I would be.

Hopefully watch this space as these guys ""some old boys" have the clout to make things happen, hope so!
Have Cranbrook embarked on a long term plan to improve rugby at the school?
They recruited two rugby/sports masters from up the hill (Scots) a couple of years ago. I thought at the time it was part of a plan to replicate the Scots rugby strategy of scouting the Primary Schools rugby players and getting them into the school in year 7.

Chilli:

1. there's no trashing of ISA players - read it again.

2. I regularly venture onto the ISA thread to comment. Last one was a response to you pointing out why selectors may not have chosen more than the 13 ISA players you thought inadequate. You chose not to make any further comment - fair enough.

3. this thread is up to 104 pages. The ISA thread is at 20. The people who seem most disinclined to see ISA as a top level schoolboy comp worth following are ISA supporters. Perhaps you should pop back and rev them up a bit?

Cheers

Cross threaders seem to get wrung out and read words or implications into postings that are just not there. I dont get it when this is a school boy's comp and there are things happening in the world like Babies being slaughtered in Syria and bombings in Pakistan. NOBODY disrespects ISA for God's sake - the posting by CatchnPass was completely innocent when you read it objectively and not with an emotional chip on the shoulder. For Christ's sake.

A real shame that the ISA Father's don't have as much time to talk up their sons like the CAS ones! What are they doing with themselves, working!! What a bunch of rookies ;)
If you ask me 13 is quiet a lot considering they lost to CHS who lost considerably to GPS
