Interesting Alos are playing Branagan at 13 after being a loosie for many years. His defence should be good and will need to be up against Kallis and Towns.

Westbury has been playing well for Lane Cove. Should be a good battle of the 10s with Waves' Andrews

Weekend predictions for 1st XV.

Aloys in a tight one. Still have 7 or so players back from the team that came second last year and the only team to put pressure on Knox last year.

Also had some good pre season form pumping Daramalan from Canberra.

Trinity will come over the top of barker.. Stead will be the centre standout of the season.

And Cranbrook with the round upset against Knox.

Ben Sullivan is playing for St Aloys first XV and should be a good contender for CAS 16s side as he is a hard running second rower and played north harbour last year while playing up for the 16As

If there are only 3 from Knox in a CAS starting team, it would be very surprising.

quite harsh having Trobec missing out on a starting position over Brown. Seeing as though Barker had a very weak pack last year it is surprising that they are included
