Everyone's tips for this weekend??

Barker started slow this year but have really improved and were rewarded with some boys in CAS. I think it'll be close but will go to their way over Cranbrook (who have injured players?) Barker by 10

Apparently players are returning for Knox which only makes them more formidable. I don't think the competition leaders will drop this game, particularly at home. Waverley is not a bad team but I don't think their forwards can match the strength and mobility of the pace-setting Knox, Knox by 20

Aloys will rue losing to Trinity in round 2 and I think they'll be out for them on their home turf this week. I believe some CAS experience would have done the aloys boys a world of good. Although a not-too-shabby Trinity side is more than capable of showing them up, if Aloy's can shut down the trinity forwards, particularly McClennan, they should win at home by 12

The double V will want blood at Wahroonga, and seeing as this game last year was the upset of the season, the team from the east will be hoping for a repeat. Though, with Knoxy's rockstars returning, the boys in white will be too strong, and ride the "wave" with ease.

The lads in green are big and strong, though Alos are in form and if their fiery forwards can get clean ball to their classy backs then I can't see them losing. Expect big Alec Diamond to get a few meat pies, and eat twice as many post-game.

For the first time this season Cranbrook turned up focused on the rugby against Knox (rather than the post game showers) and put up a strong fight. If they can hone their focus on the rugby for the full 80 they have a chance, but i still think the red fever will come out on top.

Don't rule out a Cranbrook upset at home to Barker. Tom Hill, Will Stenmark and Beau Mayer are all back and the side is as close as being at full strength as it has been all year.

When is Armstrong back? He was playing well for them prior to his injury/ disappearance. Though his replacement, who I think they moved from 10 is doing well, Armstrong was good in both attack and defence.

I am not sure of Armstrong's date of return, hopefully soon, an exciting young talent who I love to watch out there. Yes I believe Knox's current (13) was moved from Fly-half where he started this season, also solid in defence and a danger in attack.

A thousand teams ?!! it's a buzz with activity and a great atmosphere. There's nothing like Death Valley on a rugby Saturday. Unique!

Waves 1st XV have some injuries but they will be there giving it 100%.

The 15As were on the wrong end of a very lopsided penalty count against Alos and lost by a point. Not out of form.

No. I'm neither a protective mother nor a teacher, but I do like to correct you when you focus on the negatives and exaggerate. I think you do need a good smack on the hand with a ruler, and I have to wonder why you don't pop up every now and then with some positive comments.

You wait for the impending showdown between Knox and Waverley and employ negative spin. You don't have to be Nostradamus to predict Knox will more than likely win more games than Waverley across the board this Saturday.

What are your predictions for the next round vs Cranbrook? I'd guess the results from the 1st round would invite some positive spin.

A few drops of rain and QP is closed? where'd you get that one from? A thousand different teams sharing a confined space? I don't know anyone whose ever looked at it that way but it sounds pretty bad. I always thought it was a good atmosphere.

The 15As have lost 2 matches this season: vs Knox 12-15 and vs Aloys 7-8, and the penalty count was unusually lopsided in the last defeat. You get that sometimes ....... no excuse, just a fact. Maybe Aloys have improved, I'm not sure; you get that too.

The 14As have lost one game vs Knox. 16As lost one against Knox as well and that's with two players up in the 1sts. Looking at the results, the 13s aren't travelling too well.

The 1sts and 2nds have been a bit disappointing, with the 1sts winning only 2 games and the 2nds 3, but its a fairly close competition which is a good thing.

Blindly embracing the status quo and being a doom and gloom merchant are poles apart and I struggle to follow your logic but maybe you can explain. What exactly is needed in this massive shake up of yours?

Not defending or attacking the state of Waverley rugby however I did hear new regarding the 15A's game that the penalty count and overall performance of the referee was abysmal. I was not there so going off sources but apparently the word 'cheat' was thrown around in whispers. However the 15A side play Knox down at Queens Park at 12 so you are welcome to come watch and formulate your own opinion of the team.

I didn't see the game either but I did hear that the complaints about the poor refereeing came almost entirely from supporters of the losing side - not making any assumptions just an observation.

I can assure you I am not a Waverley parent and quite frankly am not bothered as to whether they win or lose, just clarifying an issue regarding 'the status quo'. Additionally before you continue to attack the integrity of my comment 'Slim' I stated that my judgement was based off sources, not my own accord.

and even when it doesn't rain, you have about a thousand different teams sharing a pretty confined area

oh well looking like might be a tough weekend for Waves

1sts .. be injury depleted, and Knox back to full strength
2nds .. played well for 60 minutes in 1st round, but will be impacted by players sliding up
16As .. my mail is that Cornish still out .. although last time I was told the opposite
15As . out of form? coming off a loss to Aloys .

I saw a list of one of the Roosters junior teams and it was virtually half Waverley kids . a weak Randwick Rugby is half the problem

anyway hoping for a few upsets, but reckon Knox will win 70% of games this weekend

awesome ! I knew they were good enough. I am on record of saying there are 2 excellent kids in waverley team ... Future rep players ( with right guidance)...And no doubt everyone else ...stepped up, as knox also have some excellent players.

None better than Cameron that I saw / gathered featured in the state championships
