Rebels rising

I think your memory fails you here-they may have "torched" cranbrook--didn't see game- but definately not Aloys. As the game report read,Trinity would have been happy with a 10-10 all result at halftime.Aloys lost Dainton(10) and Nowlan(5) in the first half and still remained combative in the second half.Aloys forwards were dominant in scrum and line -out .Trinity forwards were strong at the breakdown in the 2nd half--scored a late try to seal the game--hardly "torched".Aloes also had (8) not playing -due to dubious red card from preceding week.Trinity had their (8) playing despite a red card the previous week--go figure.

I can guarantee that Trinity didn't have their 8 playing on a red card as he recieved a yellow in the firsts half against waverley and jordan Morris received a yellow card in the second half, also the i was clearly talking about the forwards so injuy to dainton (10) is irrelevant

Jordan Morris for an offside play

2 yellows in the 1st half (one to a waves player; one to trinity) 2 yellows in the 2nd half ( 2 to Trinity players)
It doesnt really matter i don''t suppose but tha'ts what happened

Read the match report. If the writer got it wrong he should be sacked and TheHitman should be hired.

Why is there so many St Aloys players selected in the North Harbour 16s? Is there a minimum amount of players that are needed to be selected or do they really deserve a spot over Knox and Barker players ...

Interesting to note the selection of Stead (T). He is a quality player, Im lead to believe he had some involvement with NSW last season, but he has been injured all season so far, making his first appearance last week in a 20 minute cameo off the bench for the 16A's. His reputation appears to have gained him selection.

The schools nominate the players they deem deserving from their school. I think its capped at a certain number, maybe 9, however no matter how poor a school may be performing they still get boys into the North or South Harbour teams. From here the CAS team is picked based on the North v South game. Simon Rahme, Tom Partington and Pat Flaherty are all solid players from Aloys who definitely deserve a chance at a CAS spot. Not sure about the others but don't be surprised if an Aloys boy ends up as a reserve or potentially starter... though i doubt there will be many.

Cranbrook is in something approaching crisis with an away game against Knox coming up. There are now at least five first-choice players out injured, including the captain, Stenmark, best forward Tom Hill, and CAS representative Wilson. Oddly, Stewart, who was excellent in the Seconds last week, is still there. It's hard to see an upset at Warawee this week.

But elsewhere there should be two good, close games - Trinity and Barker should be a tight one, as will Waverley and St Aloysius.
