Waverley must be doing it tough with injuries or their coaches have lost their marbles. The forward pack had a kid from last years 16bs/cs playing 6. None of their second rowers jumped in the lineout and they had their best 7 playing inside centre. Looks like they'd better get used to losing.

I watched the game against St Augustines and totally agree the 6 was out of his depth, but tried hard. However, he was more mobile than some of the larger forwards who were lazy and had a negative impact at the breakdown. Maybe it's not that the locks can't jump but the forwards can't lift, because I don't think they won a lineout and the lifters couldn't even lift the 6 so they would have no chance of lifting the bigger locks. I thought the inside centre tackled his heart out and attacked well. But I think you are right they are in for a long season unless the coaches make a number of changes.

Knox is playing Southport Tuesday week but are missing a lot of players who are on cadet camp. Then they are going up to Queensland to play Southport, Ipswich Grammar and Gregory Terrace. When they get back they are playing Newington, Oakhill (Gala Day) and Joeys before Round 1

i know for a fact Joeys 16As are playing knox the monday before joeys go back to school that evening, cant help with older teams but going to say they may play them aswell?

Monday 25 April?
At Joeys?
Kick off time?

Thanks

i'm not sure if this is seperate to what 'international badboy' is saying but on Monday the 2nd of May knox is playing joeys for 1sts and 2nds (i'd assume the 16a's would be playing on the same day if this is the case) its meant to be late afternoon/night time from what i know.

Not sure, but I am always one to make outrageous assumptions, so if it is going to be at night I would assume Knox. I am unaware of any other school with the capacity to play at night.

But may be quite wrong.

Knox finished their QLD Tour with 2 wins (Southport and Joey's GT) out of 3 games, rumour has it that a few players came away with injuries, notably Clark, sum1 please clarify?

clark got a niggle in the first game against ipswich grammar (their only loss) but being injury prone i guess they decided not to risk him. both first choice 10's (nick cottee and tom crawford) sustained injuries that will probably rule them out for gala day. however inside centre jac cameron will probably return on gala day, which means that the player of the tour, liam creeley, will probably play in the 2nds on gala day.

Right, thanks for that, any other news to come out of the tour? Any other key performers besides Creeley throughout the games or surprise selections going into Gala Day? I gather Knox play Oakhill on this day? Any other schools with feedback of any trials?

forgot to mention that angus scott who was 7 in the game against ipswich for the 1s dislocated his shoulder in that game and wont play on gala day. the front row of lawley, kitchen/taylor and mitchell played well throughout the tour, as well as andrew wilson at fullback when clark was out. from previous years they try to play mainly year 12s on gala day so we could see a whole year 12 team, however because the two first choice 10s are out i see pierce richards from year 11 playing at 10 on gala day.

They won't lose anything with pierce richards playing at 10, I seen him play for the CAS 16's 2nds last year and he performed well and thought he should have been in the CAS 16's 1sts.

Heard that Waverley beat St Pats, but at a huge cost with Ollie Nicholson getting injured. Does anyone know the score? Also what is Ollie's injury and how long will he be sidelined for?

i believe that a young cranbrook team had an underfeated tour of New Zealand and on the tour they beat Palmerston North Boys 2nd XV. A very renown rugby school rom NZ.
A couple of young players are playing this year and have stepped up
