whats the deal with the coaches of the CAS teams, how are the chosen/does each school get a number of years to have the coaches?
Just to add to the "this is one of the weaker CAS teams", I'm interested in finding out which year you think was the strongest for CAS, say in the last 20 or so years.
Is there a year when CAS comprehensively beat GPS? If so, do you have the team sheets?
Thanks.
In recent years the CAS sides of 2006,2007 and 2008 contained some quality players - a number of Aussie schoolboys and boys who have gone to higher things. From memory they only beat the GPS in 2008 - but in 2006 they were up against a special crop of GPS players that year. In any other year the CAS would have won easily (Barker has 7 NSW forwards that year alone) but they just happened to come up against a freak GPS crop of players.
This year i still don't see any CAS kids getting past NSW. If they do it will be more down to politics rather than form, a bit like a certain CAS 9 getting picked last year and then not getting any game time on tour because the coaching staff didn't think he was up to it...
from memory he did get game time against samoa just not against nz.
also, he was only selected for combined states not nsw!

It will be interesting too see Waverlys performance against Barker, after their shock loss to Cranbrook 2 weeks ago. Will they let the defeat get to their heads? Or will they be able to learn, move on and gain a solid victory over Barker?

Cranbrook vs Trinity
Waverley vs Barker
Knox vs St Aloysius
I would guess that the latter two would be the closest games, though the state of the various grounds should bring all the teams closer.
