Yep Wristy, The speed of the Scots tempo is a clincher, extremely impressive.
Not sure fitness was the problem, the waves have trained very hard, like others, since last year, the injury list hurt.

Whilst others have said he had a good game, he did get an early knock, and he always tries his best, but it wasn't a better game for him/Moretti, that's footy. His opposition did have something to say about that, but he will surface again.
The point someone made about a back row of Harris, Reimer and Moretti for NSW 1 is a scary one.
how far into the game did he get the knock? i can't see one in the highlights

I gather Cranbrook are playing Sydney Grammar at 6:30ish at Easts ... presumably on the new synthetic pitch.

Not sure if the lighting is any better than what it used to be?

apparently Cranbrook are pretty up-beat as they remain undefeated .... and I suspect will remain so ... for at least another week.

PS does that synthetic grass go alright? Would have thought it must give you a nasty carpet-burn at speed o_Oouch

Definitely great for rugby SDW; there is more than adequate traction for the piggies when scrummaging, and no issues with carpet burns when being tackled on it. The 2 x things I have noticed are as follows:
  1. Depending on how a ball lands on this surface, the bounce can tend to fast-skid through much quicker than on regular turf (say when the ball lands with the largest ball surface area being exposed to the turf); this tends to cause awkwardness for the receiver
  2. When it is hot (like early in the season when games were played in temps over 30) the surface can radiate heat and make the conditions much hotter that what they are

11,13 and15 for Joeys were slick and the backline in general displayed great running rugby. Close call.

No CAS involvement I realise, but St Augustine's 21 beat Scots 20 @ Scots. Sledging aplenty from St Aug's (to the Scots crowd)... tears from Scots. Quite entertaining.

Barker 29 Joeys 28. Two late tries made it look better than it did
I agree, Barker definitely the better team but not by much. The second last try that Joeys scored looked they switched off - 4 missed tackles and a great run by Joeys.

Was pretty exciting!
