Burgess is doing VERY well @ Toulouse. Excellent all round play and he has had a catalytic effect on the team. McAlister also a plus but has been variable of late.

Sivivatu, Clermont, looks lethargic but has been off rugby for some time due to visa probs.

Rokococo (Bayonne) looks lively but neglected, little or no ball !

Tialata( Bayonne), doing well, good scrummaging.

Giteau (Touon) just started and had an excellent debut.

Pay for a subscription to Fox Sports. Get Eurosport as part of your package. They have at least 2 or 3 Top 14 games each week. They seem to focus on the better games in the competition.

Even better, pay for a subscription to Setanta ($14 per month). They have a good selection of Heineken Cup games on offer over the weekends they're played (and England Aviva Premiership & Rabodirect 12 Celtic league matches).

If you weren't aware....

I knew Burgess would do well for Toulouse and wrote to that effect ahead of time. It wasn't rocket science: he had the same game as Kelleher who was so good for them, and Kelleher ended up getting the gong as the best player in the Top14 - for a couple of years IIRR.

His passing hasn't got a lot better but nor did Kelleher's passes have lipstick and makeup on them.

Scrumhalf is a lot more important position in France as they manage the game more there than in any other country. Often the 10 follows the tune of the 9. It's a generalisation, but not far off the mark methinks.

PS - I would add my vote to those who recommend subscribing to Setanta - even if you don't have time to watch all the games.

Burgess is a a god. Some people, particularly dullard posters on here who don't comprehend how the game has changed, gave him endless shit for passes 2 inches away from where they "should be". Marvellous footballer, his only crime is being 10 years ahead of his time. The Tahs will be lost without him and endlessly predictable.

Burgess scored another try in Toulouse's 45-25 victory over Montpellier.

That Louis Picamoles is one impressive player. Surely he will start for France in the 6Ns.

How powerful is he!

It seems like everytime he goes into contact someone bounces off him, exactly what australia needs in the pack. He has the impact of TPN or Samo except he is involved with nearly every play and is the perfect go forward link man.
