We can disagree on Phipps I thought he was quick and accurate

I will say this: I didnt get frustrated with Phipps - well maybe a couple of times when he seemed slow to realise the ball was available, but that can happen.
I think where we have to agree to disagree is maybe on the Reds 9, 10, 12: I saw nothing encouraging whoever was there.
Its interesting to reflect on the then prevailing view that Burgess wasnt necessarily a big loss to Oz rugby. He would be an important addition and would, I suspect, push Phipps out of the squad - depending on genia's progress.
If Genia is right then you can include White in the 22 - if not then maybe Burgess needs to start: all idle musing based on very little game time on which minds may reasonably differ, I accept.

I thought Phipps had an excellent game and was one of the key Rebels players. He made some incisive runs and shifted the play well when there was something on (including the lead up to the Kingi miracle ball and Pyle try).

He really made up for Beale's lack of involvement in directing the play. He made some errors too, but so did every halfback on the weekend.

White had a good game overall but made plenty of mistakes in the first half. He was late to a few rucks and didn't control the ball well at the back of the ruck on several occassions.
