Actually game time was moved. It's a 3:10am start. Reds are paying $6 for the win in Pretoria & getting a 15 point start in the line betting.

Interestingly, a red card is paying $15 & we've had 2 of those in 7 matches this season. If Berry was ref I'd be on that but we've got Peyper so a little bit of hope there.

JOC (James O'Connor) is. Upon reflection and with the benefit of hindsight ,a terrible signing.

Hunt is the same. $700k and nothing for it except some grief.

I just hope the boys put in a spirited effort. That will be an effort in itself.

Go the Reds

Was JOC (James O'Connor) injured often when he was playing for London Irish and Toulon?

Exactly gel.

He better pull his finger out otherwise he is, and shouldn't even be, considered for our assault on the Rugby World Cup,

And in respect of Hunt I reckon Ben Lucas is a much better chance of making the squad. Both have given the same service to Queensland this year,

Why wouldn't his fitness to travel and play have been established before the team left for SA? Is this symptomatic of the troubles the Reds are having this year?

I believe this trip coincides with the departure of the current S&C coach. Not that that excuses it, just offering some explanation.

I'd guess it's just a timing thing. He likely wouldn't have had a scan until the Monday anyway and by that point he was in South Africa. My guess is that unless it's a serious injury it's pretty hard to tell if it's just soreness from the match or an actual injury the day after the game.

It will look silly though if he's not right for either game.

I'd like to see: Slipper, Fainga'a, Holmes, McDulling, Simmons, Thompson, Gill, Browning, Genia, Hunt, CFS, Fainga'a, Kerevi, Kuridrani, Turner.

Reserves: Hanson, Daley, Talakai, Kotze, Korczyk, Frisby, Tapuai, Magnay.

Lot of debate around the 10 jersey. In my opinion Hunt @ 10 because lesser of the two evils. Turner has been solid at 15. Hunt showed glimpses of his ability to play 10 in the trial vs Crusaders... by no means at QC (Quade Cooper)'s level but willing to take on the line. Don't see the point in playing a genuine 9 at 10 + Tuttle shouldn't be thrown into the deep end. Knowing RG though, I wouldn't be surprised if Frisby starts at 10.... looks very likely.

I think I must be the only Reds fan who likes Frisby. I think he will be a great player in the future but wont get there without game time.

I am scared about this game, I have tipped the Bulls by 32 points and am scared it will be worse.

Don't get me wrong, I like Frisby and I think he will keep getting better with time but i have two beefs with him playing 10 and I think I probably share the same concerns as many others:
1. We have better options at 10; and
2. He needs to get more time at 9 as let's face it, we're officially in 2016 preseason.

'Kotze, Korczyk'

How good / funny is it having these two names of the QLD bench.

Sounds like the Krakow Rugby Club, which fits in well with Pilecki.

If Graham name's Frisby at 10, hopefully he's at least run him through Kafer's Rugby HQ analysis from the Tahs match.

Too deep, too slow & too easy for the opposition that night.

To try and spark some conversation on the match, I thought I may ponder externally.

As ordinarily as we are playing, I think by and large we are staying 'in' games until close to the end. That being said, I can't often see how we might win those games either. Bit of a paradox. But I digress already.....

So we went well (albeit with Quade) against the Lions and hung in against the Rebels with only 14 men. The Lions have since beaten the Bulls (at Ellis Park) but then the Bulls also beat the Cusaders at Loftus the week before they pumped the Sharks.

I have zero expectations coming into this match but whether it's that damn eternally optimistic part of being a Reds supporter or just an indication that I have finally gone Rugby insane I don't know but I can't shake the mindset that it's not beyond us to win this one. Go figure.
