The good:
- Fainga'a's work at the breakdown was magnificent.
- Our scrum was very good (at least until Toby went off).
- Telusa Veainu looked good with ball in hand and with some space.
- Jack also showed promise with ball in hand.
The bad:
- Jack's goalkicking.
- Simple knock ons after a lot of hard work to get us in a good position.
- The obligatory yellow card for our skipper.
- Discipline.

Should have emptied the bench earlier (especially since Lopeti and Jeffries are both around next year).
Jack's kicking was frustrating, but you can see the potential.
Felt the ref came into the game with the expectation of Bulls set piece being dominant, and didn't penalise a couple of non straight throws, prop failures etc.
But hey, we weren't that good. Looking forward to the Rising season.

having watched the replay the rebels didn't play too badly for long parts of the game but just watch anyone of about 8 games this year and it looks the same. same errors.
plenty of endeavour, plenty of ball, absolutely no fucking idea in attack and eventually the ball coughed up for the opposition to clear. plenty of penalties. ordinary kick chase. conceding tries from set piece.
oh, and taking off both your line out jumpers when defending a 5 metre line out with a few minutes to go. excellent tactical substitution. probably up there with substituting your entire front row when defending a 5m scrum.
