Tahs were done like our Labrador's dinner.

Never had a chance against a very hungry opponent.

Well done to the Ponies. Some lessons were handed out tonight. Reputations count for nothing.

i really like folou, nothing against him but he does NOT deserve a wallaby jersey right now. Our outside backs should be mogg on the bench, diggers, JOC (James O'Connor) & beale.

possibly drew mitchell(?) & the badger(?) but i havent seen to much from these two fellas this season

Have to say Tahs are about where I expected (obviously not hoped) us to be at this stage of the rebuilding. Very similar to Cheika's early days here at Leinster. Obviously no guarantee the Tahs will see similar improvement to Leinster under him. Still it's too early to hit the panic button.
It's not panic, it's the sense of inevitability that they will go to bits as soon as pressure is applied. Unfortunately, the default bad option of a few players is ingrained.

No one said he deserves a jersey NOW. He's played 3 games. Once he has 10+ games I reckon he will.

George Smith could age another 10 years, put on some extra kilos and would still be the master.

He is a sorcerer for whom time cannot stop........

Waratahs comprehensively outplayed in all aspects of the game. 3 soft penalties - down 9-0 after 10 mins. To me the squad inherited by Cheika has no balance to it (as discussed many time on Waratahs thread). I'm still not convinced about McKibben, and become less and less convinced as weeks go by. He should watch some tapes of Nic White and Will Genia - how to take pressure off your receivers by occasional tactical kicking (not kicking for the sake of it, but tactical kicking - for a purpose). Constantly shovelling the ball when the Brumbies are standing flat, moving up quickly and slowing the ball down is a road to nowhere, made worse by the step/skip he's now developed prior to passing. On one occasion he moved about 4 steps diagonally backwards and passed to a player who was smashed.

The Brumbies confirmed beyond doubt that they are far and away the best team in the Aussie conference. Well coached and can carry out the game plan effectively with skill and confidence.

The silky skills, positional play and tactical awareness have not dimmed. As with all 32 year olds, he's probably lost a metre of pace but that' about the only difference from GS 5 years ago.

hahaha i agree mate! imagine if white & link coached the wallabies & there were no tahs in the team - theyd be unstoppable!!

I know it is in all good fun, etc, but when you say what you said about the Tahs, it tends to get others angry, then they bite back and my evening is spoiled by giving out warnings like candy.

Can you help me out by not baiting? Cheers mate.

Yep, that's what I mean it took a while to change those kinds of things with some players at Leinster or ship out the ones who wouldn't or couldn't change. Plus in fairness Leinster before Cheika were a much better team than the Tahs he inherited.
