I dont think the bacline worked. Turner is a wing or fullback, the other option is hangers to 12 and Carter to 13, I don't think the one that played last saturdaybshould be left unscathed

Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. The problem with last Saturday was they played shit, not they played out of position. Let's stick with the same backline please.

Spot on mate. Might be a big wrap but I thought turner was Jean de villiers like on a couple of occasions with no room too move.

The problem on Saturday night was set piece and handling errors from almost all.

Halingagu is shit.

Go the force!!!!

)... with the battle of the ostriches on the other side of the scrum (Alexander v Baxter)....

Absolute gold Slim!

...Grass munchers, ploughs, dirt divers, concertinas...

Moore missing the match will be a big help to the Waratahs. He is probably their best player. Not having him must be at least as bad as it is for the Waratahs when they don't have TPN.

I would prefer to see Turner marking AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) than Cross, and I never want to see Carter at 13 again.

If the Tahs employ a slide defence it'll be Carter marking AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). This man-love for Carter is starting to go over the top, he's a very limited player who uses his few skills to death. The Tahs have some of the best outside backs in Super Rugby, all they need is a bit of space AND THE PILL. Tom seems incapable of giving them either.

Give him a break Lindo, I am not a massive fan of Carter but I thought he was one of our best on Saturday. Under the circumstances we desperately needed front foot ball, and he was one of the very few who provided it. Passing to Gilbert or Drew further behind the advantage line wouldn't have been the golden bullet you suggest it would have been.

Sorry, but this is all bullshit about TC. What happens with him at contact? He takes the tackle & lays it back well.
If he keeps driving at contact he cannot position himself and the ball for his teammates, for quick phase play
yes it is what Hickey wants obviously but front foot ball? Only if he is in space!

you should actually want him, he constantly gets an extra three or four metres in the tackle, he rarely goes to ground behind the advantage line.
as for Lindo, he is limited, maybe, but the thing is, he does what he is capable of in the high percentages every game and rarely if ever lets anyone down, taking him from limited to one of the best on the park so far this year.

So, which Tahs player is going to do us a favor and put Giteau out of action for a few months?

Given the limitations of the squad what I would like to see is:-

1. Kepu
2. TPN
3. Baxter
4. Mumm
5. Douglas
6. Dennis
7. Alcock
8. Mowen
9. Burgess
10. Barnes
12. Carter
13. Turner
11. Mitchell
14. Pakalani
15. Beale

16. Fitzpatrick
17. Ryan
18. McCafrey
19. McCutcheon
20. Palu
21. Holmes
22. Hangers

I don't rate Cross at all. Holmes can cover the centres and has played wing. Hangers can cover 10 and 12. Allows Hickey to tell the pigs to go at 100% for 60 and then start subbing them from there. Palu to make impact in the last 30 against a tiring Brumbies side. Had no impact on a tight Cheetahs side.

Waugh is fit, I believe, and will play this weekend. So that pushes Alcock out of your 15, Gnostic.

I like the idea of bringing Palu on with 30 to go.

Palu started because it was better for him to start warm, off the bench there was more chance of injury.

I would assume Tilse will be on the bench, Kepu won't be given Palmer for the whole match

I'd keep Alcock on the bench then and drop McCutcheon out of the 22. I have been very unimpressed and I have doubts about Waugh being able to play effectively no matter how tough he is.

As for Tilse FP, if thats the case drop Baxter and move Kepu to THP at half time for Ryan. Kepu has shown that he has no dramas with Alexander at LHP.

I am still pretty disappointed that very senior members of the forward pack especially did not step up and take control last week and there is no more senior member than Baxter. Given the other issues he faces I can see him having a rest, and I have been as you know a very long time supporter of his.

I thought Baxter was one of the few who looked like he really cared out there. He isn't blameless, but he is low on my hit list after Saturday.

None of them I suspect.

Too many players from opposing teams look far too chummy for my likes - most are ex school mates, academy mates, let alone wallaby team mates...

I honestly don't care what the result is providing I see some genuine passion out there.

Like I said Barbar - as a senior member he should have been taking them by the scruff and getting some results. Maybe the reason he has never been a captain or looked as captain material.

Last week aside the writing is on the wall for him after the Crusaders as well. I have been a long term defender of the Fuse but I am thinking more and more that perhaps it is time to move on. Alexander is nothing to be feared at LHP and IMO Ryan could start at THP and the Tahs would have perhaps an even more dominant scrum as the ref will not be looking for a Baxter 50:50 call to penalise the Tahs with but instead look at Alexander the other penalised prop in Oz.

I do not think anybody who has seen him play would doubt Ryan's set piece (Scrum and Lineout) abilities.
