This one's hard to predict. Any news on who is going to ref yet?
Have to go with the Brums at home, but the Sharks just beat the Reds, they're a strong side and could steal the show. Not much in it.

I think this will be a tougher game for the Brumbies than the Highlanders without Thomson.

Should be a cracker. Benny A and Squeaky Moore will have their work cut out for them against the du Plessis brothers. Battleship was exceptional against the Tahs.

The Brumbies maul has been a hell of a lot better than the Tahs, their wide defence has been better too - Sharks didn't make many metres elsewhere - Brumbies to get up.

The Sharks will have Deysel back. Dont think it will help much, they look short between the ears at the moment and something seriously wrong with their defense specially out wide. Thats where the Brumbies will hurt them playing the phase after phase after phase gameplan. Brumbies by 15.

Keith Brown looking after this one.

I'm sure Hooper is going to be heavily targeted, but as long as the other forwards keep performing it shouldn't be a problem.

The Brumbies just need to tighten up their defence a bit as they're still giving away too many easy metres at times.

I think the Sharks will get up for this one. There were a number of individual errors that cost them dearly last week. I feel they have the forward pack to get on top of the Brumbies and McLeod has provided a bit of spark at 9 since he came in for Michalak. His combination with Lambie is gradually improving again. Interested to see what team Plumtree names. Hopefully it will be Bosman and JP Pietersen in the centres as Tim Whitehead makes some basic errors at times. Sharks by 5.

The Brumbies will be without Dan Palmer who contracted a virus during the week...

Alexander will shift to tighthead...

Matt To'omua is also in line to play flyhalf with Lilo going back to inside centre and McCabe to the wing... I don't know if that's the best backline combination?

Alexander to THP is a recipe for serious trouble. The Sharks scrum was shaded against the Tahs but I reckon they'll be licking their lips now that Palmer is out.

Freddy playing 10 for the Sharks and Lambie out of the 22. That jaw/tooth injury the young bloke got when he attacked the knee of B.Foley with his face whilst going for the high ball last Saturday must have been worse than first thought.

No Lambie has got to be good news for the home team. No Palmer for the Brumbies is not great but the Sharks scrum is hardly stellar.

But geez, their sweeping backline moves with the ball passed in front of team mates who exploded onto it was impressive last week. They are missing their big ball runners Beast and Kankowski but the return of Deysel, who has lots of petrol, will redress that some, though he has been in the garage for a while. JP is back from injury and playing 13; watch out for that bad boy.

So long as one of the Brumbies fans whacks Bismark across the kneecap with a baseball bat as he steps off the team bus in the parking lot the Brumbies should do OK.

Should be a good game - the Sharkies like having a crack.

Yes Oom I am quite surprised how good JP has looked at 13. The loss of Palmer and the addition of JP indirectly pose a threat for the Brumbies. We know the simplicity of the Sharks game plan. If they can get a good right shoulder they will have JP running straight all night with one of the big munters taking the ball up in second phase. Because of JP's size he will demand attention from a couple of the backs so the lug taking it up second will make yards.

Shaping up to be a good one though.

PS Birmarck has titanium bones. You need an industrial drill.

Deysel/Petrol/Garage - I like what you've done there Lee! The loss of Lambie is certainly not ideal as I feel he was gradually starting to impose himself in the games more. Freddy is not a bad replacement though!

I would be amazed to see White move Lilo & McCabe or drop one of the wingers. They haven't missed To'omua (actually they have looked better without him)

Brumbies
Jesse Mogg, Pat McCabe, Andrew Smith, Christian Lealiifano, Henry Speight, Matt To'omua, Ian Prior, Ben Mowen, Michael Hooper, Peter Kimlin, Sam Carter, Leon Power, Ben Alexander, Stephen Moore, Ruadhri Murphy. Res: Anthony Hegarty, Scott Sio, Scott Fardy, Ita Vaea, Nic White, Zack Holmes, Joe Tomane.

Interesting selections at 9, 10, 12. Has Prior moved ahead of Nic White in the 9 pecking order? Or is N. White still getting over his injury?

Lealiifano out to 12 and To'omua back in at 10...is this their strongest backline?

This is going to be a good game. The Brumbies have exceeded expectations this year - and that's good to see!

This will be a close one hard to pick, but no Lambie and home ground advantage have to have the Brumbies ahead.

Brumbies by 5!

Unfortunate that joseph tomane doesn't get another run. Obviously 2 try's wasn't good enough. And whats the go with nicky white?? Been out will what commentators say s an 'illness' could do with him back.

Nah, Speight has been hard working all season.

In contrast Tomane has been invisible aside from his 2 tries last week.

Thoughts on Prior vs White at 9 and To'omua vs Lealiifano at 10? Do you think Jake sees McCabe more as a winger than a 12/13? Or do you think they are just giving his shoulder more time to get stronger?
