By any fair criteria, the 2020 Brumbies are a superbly coached team.

And the shackle of being a ‘maul only’ team has categorically been broken. This 2020 team are all-court, fine ensemble players with excellently balanced attacking and defensive patterns.

Still extremely disappointed by that loss to the Highlanders after the siren.........

The Brumbies could’ve finished this period undefeated and on top.

Hopefully AAA’s injury isn’t too bad.

And with Ryan Lonergan kicking at 100% this year they might have to consider starting him.

When Super Rugby gets back on there are some players in the Tahs that should not be in the team tough decisions need to be made.

Karmichael Hunt tries hard but just doesn’t have the skills and read of the game necessary.
Mark M defence is just not there it maybe an experience thing but given his reluctance to take contact and constant going over the sideline he is just another in a long line coming via the pathways whose defensive shortcomings are forgiven.
Jack Dempsey just looks to lack urgency around the field when he is away from the ball.

Lolesio isn't a bad striker of the ball though.

Hard marker of your own. Sharks only ahead of you on the table as they’ve played one more game.

Well. With that done how long before we see Super Rugby again?

Thanks Brumbies and Waratahs. Let's hope things are back up quickly.

Hoopers sack before that play was fine.

No it wasn't D. He was warned by the ref after he joined the maul from the side and then laid down on the ground in front of McInerney as he was heading otherwise unimpeded to the tryline. Would/should have been a penalty try if the Brumbies hadn't scored immediately.

I have a completely different recolection of the incident but i definitely cant be bothered to go back and check so

Well, I can confirm for you that the Brumbies had penalty advantage as a result of Hooper's actions at that maul. Very likely would have been a YC had the Brums not got over the line.

BTW, what was the go when Dempsey was YCed? Simmons (the Captain) wandered away over the tryline and was nowehere to be seen when the ruling was made. It looked like Hooper was querying the ruling and in discussion with the ref. I reckon Rob forgets he is Captain during a game.

The two most exciting attacking wingers in Aus, Daugunu and Wright, both came from the bench this weekend. A couple of years ago both the Reds and Brumbies were struggling for attacking options and they would have been amongst the first picked. Pretty good that these teams now have enough attacking weapons their coaches have the luxury of injecting them from the bench for the sake of team balance.

Another great win by the horsies. They're well drilled, do the basics well and strike when opportunities present themselves. The Tahs are so undisciplined though. I hope few of them find themselves in the Wallabies squad.

I hope you savoured it KOB. Such a shame people have to follow a non-performing team like the Tahs.
You’ll note I didn’t make any reference to the broader game or the predictable result. It doesn’t change the fact that in that moment Rob Simmons made the Brumbies defence look amateur.

As for any injuries or niggles - plenty of weeks to recover from that stuff. Bit of bash at training but that's it.

Surprised people knocking Maddocks on here. Reckon he's been good, you can't fault the effort. Hasn't had much space to work with.

That's pretty lenient really, he's been recruited as a marquee winger/ fullback and certainly has not lived up that. We lost our only elite back with Folau.

Also the Waratah's back line recruitment has a lot to answer for- how do the Brumbies end up with two top athletes Solomon Kate and Tom Wright, yet we get Alex Newsome and James Ramm?
