Ooo Genia is going well...the battle for this weeks Wallaby 22 halfback position should be interesting.

I'm surprised at the Genia votes I thought he was poor last night. Other than Quade's kicking I thought the whole backline was poor.

I'm surprised you're surprised!

Genia was urgent to the breakdown and delivered the ball immediately. Runners are still struggling to position themselves, but were better. His kicking was pretty good and his decision making as 9 and captain I thought was spot on for the situation. Made tackles. He ran very little which was appropriate. Finally he seemed to gee his players up at the right times. He got the reds there and while the ponies were always in the hunt including the last 2 mins I kind of felt that the reds were always heading towards a win, for all that it was in snatching distance.

It looks like Van leads the forward pack, he had the crazy eyes again last night and it was good to see.

I also liked the look of Gill when he got on the field. Looks like all the talk is true and we have a real goer for the future.
