Before Pyle and Saffy got injured I was thinking the Rebels are a really good chance to win this one. Now with 3 key forwards missing we are back to a 50/50 ball game.

Wallabies training squad has caused more damage to the Brumbies than Rebels, and for me not having JOC (James O'Connor) is no big deal as we play better with out him.

Luke Burgess into the Rebels squad. Delve back at number 8 to captain this match. Interesting match up will be the battle of the 7's playing to nearly prove who will start at 7 for the Rebels next season.

A few of us driving up to ACT for this one so hope it's a good game.

Interestingly, who will captain the Brumbies in the absence of Mowen?

Rathbone? Palmer? Fardy? Fainga'a?

And first choice goalkicker?

I am glad the match is played in Canberra.
The absences of Mowen and Lilo are a heavy handicap for the Brumbies.
Whoever put the draw together was high on something.
Two teams fighting for the conference's top spot with 2 games to go - one team loses five players for a crunck match, the other get a bye.

Moore is the biggest loss. I hope Palmer is able to play.

This whole Lions thing is a big pain in the ass.......

5 points from this game guarantees the Brumbies top of the Australian conference........

A win keeps them in a good position to do the same.......

A loss gives the Reds a sniff and I don't want to see a repeat of last year..........

Holding back players for the Lions, particularly if they're not going to start, is not worth jeopardising a home final and half a million dollar winfall for the club.........

Any word on McCabe or Andrew Smith? The Brumbies played well with them as the centre pairing last year, albeit with Lilo at 10. Given the way To'omua is playing, I don't think they'd lose much.

I'd have Prior, Coleman and Tevita on the bench, or alternatively Rathbone with Tevita moving to a wing spot. What's Mann Rea's availability given he's playing for country? Any word on Palmer? Would be good to have him at 3, given Rory's injury.

Big game for the Rebels. Within sight of coming out of the season pumped for 2014, a win away, and redemption for earlier losses. Need to see more steel from them. A win is up for grabs, but blink and they could get walloped. So don't bloody blink boys.

i don't think you need sweat as much as some other teams
you guys still have white, To'omua, rathbone?, mccabe/coleman, kiridrani, speight and mogg in your backline.... not the worst outcome.
and sio up front to step in for alexander.
and fotu at 8 for mowen

i think the brumbies will take this, but suspect it will be closeish

Yeah I wouldn't be complaining, if the Tahs beat the Crusaders the Force game for them would've been a must win and had to have done it without 11 front line players.

What has that got to do with anything, the Tahs are not in any position to be in the finals. The Tahs loss to the Rebels stuffed their season, not last week.

I think that in the last month or so, the Rebels have rightly been treated as a banana-skin game for some of the higher placed teams.

Sadly, I think this might not be one of them. The Rebels have lost too many key players for this match and while the Ponies have also lost players, they have far greater depth.

The Rebels will be valiant, but in the end the Brumbies are going to be just too classy.

Saffy for the season.

Pyle might play against the lions mid week, should be back by the highlanders.
