Hurricanes out brumbiesd them. Built momentum from contestable kicks and monopolised the ball in good territory. Not many out and out poor showings for the brums outside of back 3 as discussed already at length. Reimer did show clearly that hes much better finishing games than starting them though, lot of missed/ineffective tackles and no breakdown influence. Bad loss for top 2 aspirations as well.

Haven’t been able to find the part of the rules which sets out that catching the ball isnt playing it.
If you haven't seen that before Derps, you not watching much rugby. Actually saw almost exactly same thing in a URC game from NH a week ago.
Hell the ABs failed to win a Lions series when ref made exactly that call. Personally, I would call it a penalty, but it's noy usually.

Reuben Love with the nice acting job
:D What's even worse, the bastard apparently put blusher on it at end of game, a call from mate who was talking to him after game and says it looks like it may just develop into a good size bruise from the look of it. I told him tell Reuben a bit of ice will sort it.
Just out of interest a few Cane's supporters a yelling it should of been RC etc (you know same as Wrampling last week in here), I replied the same I thought this a YC and they will cite him if needed. They won't, YC was fair.

Should also be said the Canes were good and had obviously done their homework. Valetini was heavily marked/targeted with chop tackles and even when the brums got momentum the canes made good decisions to stop it (e.g the intercept after Thorn made his first long break off the scrum). Also some good innovation at lineup to generate tail ball without being picked off (hitting the prop at 6 with decoys in the middle - this happened more than once and looked planned but maybe I'm giving too much credit to overthrows).

Roigard a constant threat and the kicking from him and Love won them the territory battle. Outside backs outstanding in attack.

Shame about the result when the bump would have been spurred on by the win over the Reds. Canberra is into the consistent single digit nights from about now which can’t help.
