Brumbies v Highlanders Rd 7 Friday 28th Mar @ GIO Stadium 7.35pm AEDT

Disappointing Meredith can not get a look in since the Drua match in Round 5. Has speed, a strong kick, good footwork, and a brave defender. Goes from being the flyhalf in a match-winning performance at Eden Park against the Blues and is now running the waters.

Surely Joe will be re thinking his starting 10 options?
Hopefully but having a seemingly concrete spot when available doesn’t help the chances.

Larkham doesn’t seem afraid to pull him in seasons gone by, I wonder what his genuine rating of him is.

No 10 is screaming pick me so we’ll more than likely get the 10 of the top Aus side (Lynagh, Noah) with Donaldson on the bench. Other left out all together.

Why the 10 of the top side? What’s the logic behind that?

I was wondering about that farcical try at 78mins when the Brumbies defence structure fell apart down the blindside.

Deb basically stopped running after 75mins so wasn't in position where the Brumbies usually have their 10 (left wing in the pendulum)

Debreczeni looked like he hurt his knee/leg around 74:21 mins.

I thought maybe it was from a tackler hitting his leg when kicking, but think it was probably just kicking the ball.

We have no elite 10 so I think they end up getting the most praise on the back of the side’s performance.

Noah is a 7/10 in every facet. He’s the considered safe pair of hands. All the others have higher and lower scores across the board. Noah is the guy they have to think about least.
“7 out of 10 in every facet”…. Hardly. Watching him last night he hardly looked the incumbent Wallaby 10. Took the journey man bench player in JD to get them over the line. Having said that, he missed a relatively easy goal too. Not sure what Larkham was smoking when recently he said that Noah had gone to the next level. Maybe he meant he took the elevator down…. not up!

At his best I should add. Since the concussion he definitely seems like the timing isn’t there. Is it confidence?

I have to admit, I thought Noah was going to come on more than he has, but from what I have seen Lynagh would be one who has surpassed him?

Feel like Iv'e seen this a few times about Noah. Waiting for it to click but he's 25 so I think what were seeing is what he is at this point.

He's a neat player who can do the fundamentals fairly well but hes physically limited in regards to speed, boot and size. The development curve for him is different to a guy like Foley who was a better athlete at the same age so we saw the development of being a 10 get refined through age.

I think Donaldson may be the one who has the natural skills and hopefully the game logic settles in.

Lynagh is on a nice path it seems. For him it's about time at 10. I just hope the hits and bravery don't come back bite too soon.

Lynagh is playing well, in a very well drilled side with forwards going forward. Basically like Noah behind the Ponies pack

The challenge is sitting behind the wobs pack is quite more challenging, with more turnovers, shittier ball and faster, bigger lunatics want to smear them into ground.

They end up getting deeper and deeper to find some time and their kicking becomes less effective as the kick and chase is disrupted
