Spook, Hux got dropped on his head at least once (that bad spear tackle), if not twice. It might just be a simple concussion. Hope so.

I think Rocky likes winning. I'm not sure he went there for the nice roads, roundabouts or the "wow" factor. But if it makes you feel better about it. "No, he really likes us, he does, he does!!" :lmao:

Rocky and I have both lived in Dublin - Gone away from Oz and come back (nearly in my case). I'd be interested to know what he think of the place - good or bad.

Cheetahs No.8 Kabamba Floors has been suspended for five weeks for a dangerous tackle on Julian Huxley in his team's Super 14 loss to the Brumbies in Canberra.

Floors was cited by SANZAR citing commissioner Scott Nowland for his 77th-minute lifting tackle on the Brumbies fullback.

Huxley, who was having his first Super 14 start since returning from a brain tumour removal, emerged from the tackle unhurt.

SANZAR judicial officer Dennis Wheelahan, QC (Quade Cooper), heard the case on Sunday and upheld the charge.

Wheelahan said he hoped the length of the ban, while consistent with previous similar offences, would act as a general deterrent, giving the increasing number of similar dangerous tackles occurring in Super 14.

If it was me, I'd give him another two for that tackle in the air.

Almost as dangerous and from the video footage, it looked plenty cynical to me.

It won't act as a general deterrent because similar tackles don't get the same punishment ("actions taken by referee deemed acceptable punishment") or get reduced/let off on appeal.

The citing process and its outcomes are farcical.

Cant help get the feeling its Mr Hux brain cancer playing a role in this sentence but who cares, at this moment wish they cite the whole Tin Ear team for 5 weeks for the kak they dish up lately.

:) Is there a possibility of the Southern Kings taking their spot in the S15?

PB, what is the Royal XV from SA? Ive only ever seen them play once and that was against the BI Lions, was the team just created for that event?

Biffo, difficult to say which one (Lions or Tin Ears) are the kakkest. The Kings still have to get their house in order before they can think about S14 or 15, will take another couple of years.

DPK: Think they break up the BIL uniquely to give as many local players a run as possible. The Royals was a once off and was picked of the teams that havent played against the BIL in the other matches and were 90% players from the Leopards (old Western Travaal or Mielie Boere we use to call them) and the biltong eating Griqua province.

by the way you saw a few of the Royal players playing for the Tin Ears like Viljoen (versatile player) and Sarel Pretorius, played from the bench 9 and scored a try. Both nippy players.

Thanks. I knew I had seen them before but couldn't remember when.

Thanks. I think there is some agreement between SARU and the current five teams that they are guaranteed a place. I don't know how long that agreement lasts.

Both of those players added a fair bit to the Cheetahs on the weekend when they came on, particularly Pretorius.

Mr Floors has good grounds for appeal. A certain Richard McCaw did a bad spear tackle earlier in the year, didn't get carded, didn't get cited. Did give away a penalty.
