Nathan Grey was the Junior Wallaby head coach this year . Unfortunately never got the team on the field , would have been largely the same group that Hewat coached in the U18’s in 2019.

Coaches like players improve , he was well received by the U20’s this year. Wouldn’t have been easy job working a defensive structure under the former national coach.

Nathan Grey would be at the bottom of the list. As TSR says coaches sometimes improve. The same ought to be said for Bernie Larkham but Bernie at least has background with the club and the current coaching setup. I would have Bernie as next best to Peter Hewat.

Simon Cron looked extra good at Norths, but lacks experience at this level in comparison. Better than Grey nevertheless.

Wasn't Simon Cron with the Waratahs and supposedly lined up to be the next Tahs head coach at one stage? Surely that counts for experience at this level? Larkham should never have been parachuted in at Super Rugby level, too much jobs for the boys. Hewat looked good when he was at the Brumbies.

When Nathan Grey calls himself the minister of defense and he ships points so easily.. then we can judge him.

Larkham has had alot of experience since his Brumbies job, maybe not the right time. Cron hasnt had a top job yet, Id say Hewat the same.

But hopefully references get you the interview, how you perform there gets you the job.

Great to see both Reimer and Hooper confirmed. Had been no mention of them until now.

That backrow looks immense. Samu and Valetini established Wallabies, Brown and Reimer excellent on ball, potential with Scott and new blood with Kennedy. And if needed, Hooper makes a huge presence in an emergency.

Despite losing some good backs I think also got some good ones with cfs (really rate him), Jesse mogg and even cam Clarke not bad backup option who covers outside centre and wing, oh plus Ollie who also brings nz pedigree
