I would say Pulu is better than naivalu and Maddocks at this point but Maddocks has more growth/ opportunity for improvement - but not better than the rest...could be a bolter for end of spring tour but given playing npc and not nrc I doubt it and really about what he probably shows next year...just good to have another quality winger playing for oz super rugby side at this point

Pulu will be good for the Brumbies but can't see him being a Wallaby. Banks will probably only just scrape onto the bench and he was in ridiculous form in the back half of the comp.

I would take Naivalu over him every day of the week.

I feel like a lot of the people talking up Pulu have read the articles about how fast he is but haven't watched him play much.

There's a reason he wasn't a first choice for the Chiefs.

Added to that, his best performance of the season was probably when the Tahs played the Chiefs and a lot more Australian viewers would have watched. He's still dangerous in space at Super level, not sure how he leapfrogs a guy like Naivalu who was our best out and out winger before Koroibete cracked it.

When has Sefa been the best winger in oz maybe just before he got his leg injuired but now his been behind a bunch of ozzie wingers and fullbacks.

One of his biggest advantages was his speed which he has lost. If he wants game time his going to have to leave the rebels and head to the tahs.

I honestly don't think i've seen him play a match since he went out injured playing for the Wallabies, at which point he was the best specialist winger we had.

It's super unfortunate for him that he got injured right when he did. It happens so often in test rugby. Get a chance to really establish yourself and blamo injury. Dempsey copped a bit of the same not long after.

Before he went down in the Italy match he was the best we had. Agree he should (and I hope he does) look to the Tahs to get more game time and put pressure on Koroibete for the specialist wing spot.

Any similarity to the reason why Naivalu can't get a start at the Rebels?

I think Naivalu largely got pushed out due to badly timed injuries but there's a strong argument that even when back to form and fitness he might not make it. He's competing with Koroibete who I think is better than him.

Pulu got beaten out by a back three of Stevenson, Alaimalo and Wainui this season when all three were healthy. I think Wainui is the weakest of those three but Stevenson and Alaimalo are exciting young talents and are getting better and better.

Pulu has great pace but I think lacks some of the all round skills other wingers have. I don't think he is a walk up starter for the Brumbies next year. I think he is looking for more opportunity but wouldn't have been recruited on big dollars. He wouldn't have been on a lot at the Chiefs.

Yep naivalu not set the world on fire even when got onto the pitch in the last 18 months. Agree he needs to move away from Rebels and get some game time.

Yeah I was surprised we signed him with muirhead, banks, speight, peni, vitery-am, I think he be in for a fight to get a back 3 spot over our current back 3.

But is that not a good thing to have a bit of depth. Speight abs muirhead would have first dibs on starting wing positions with pulu behind them.

Be interesting to see if Peni and verity am can step up as both offering potential
