Do you actually know when it was required to be done, have you considered it was potentially an injury that they were hoping was going to improve, or that it was a pre-existing injury which has worsened to the point of requiring surgery following his time in Japan, shit. it may gave have even been a difference of opinion between specialists
Are you trying to convince us that Pocock has been aware that he would require surgery for the past 12 months but elected to postpone it because he is immoral and wanted to screw the ARU.
As for the ARU being screwed, what a load of garbage.. some of us have been criticising the introduction of the Flexi-contracts for years. If they didn’t have him on a Flexi-contract he would have been back at the Brumbies in Nov last year, he mightn’t have even needed surgery or if he did, their would be enough time for surgery and back by round 1. the ARU wilfully agreed to let him play in Japan. As they did with Foley and Folau, and this is the cost of those decisions. As far as I’m concerned, and like the Foley injury prior, they made their bed on this one. Only a fool would think it’s a great idea to thrash your most valued assets.
