Thanks @MarkJ, I was wondering who Aquis were and what they did.

Not sure that Casinos/Betting/Gambling companies and sports sponsorship is such a good thing, but then again I loved the Bensen and Hedges World Series Cricket games "Back in the Day" and was never tempted to take up smoking on the back of the huge $ that Tabacco companies poured into sports sponsorship.

I believe Aquis have plans for some mega-casino up in Queensland too, so they may be interested in promoting the brand name, not just the local casino

Being a Canberra team, I wonder how many punters will think that it is the Australian Quarantine Inspection Service that are the sponsors.

AQIS sounds like Aquis.

Maybe that will mean the Canberra Casino will be re-branded The Aquis Canberra Casino. As I don't think many people could relate the casino to Aquis otherwise. Likewise the QLD mega casino will probably be name the Aquis Resort.

That Canberra Casino is an expensive one. It also closes (or at least used to close) at 6am. Those two facts probably aren't mutually exclusive.
