Nothing signed yet from what I read from Fisher. I was hoping one more year out of him then go with Link to be Wallabies forward coach for 2019 World Cup.

So Looking to next year I think Mogg and Leo need a full off season. Who's our goal kicking coach ? Lilo been shocking.. If Lilo doesn't make the end of year tour I'd be tempted to spend the pre season moving him too 10 with To'omua at 12. Who can we get as a director rugby and also as Forward coach..

Any good Australian coaches?

The Brumbies have today confirmed that Steve Larkham has signed a 3 year contract extension to be head coach and that Laurie Fisher is off to Europe at the end of the season.

Thoughts on this?

For myself, Larkham is still pretty fresh and it's hard to get a good assessment of his success as a coach.

For example, this is is first year as coach and he has largely just continued the same regime and strategy White put in place.

Also, I question the game-play of our backs this season. And isn't Larkham the specialist backs coach? I would have thought our backs would be running great lines and our halves would be a constant attacking threat, but i actually think the kicking mentality is worse than last year.

I think out forwards have generally been very good as a unit which I think is Laurie Fishers doing.

Injuries haven't helped, but its hard to say Larkham has had a large influence on the team, he may struggle next year.

Well I guess the position of Director of Rugby will be open when Gandalf goes, which means an experienced coach could be brought in over Larkham.

On the kicking front, what's Mark Gerrard doing these days? I'm sure a stint as kicking coach would help Mogg, White To'omua and co.

There appeared to be signs of this earlier in the season, but they seemed to have shot themselves in the foot by trying to completely replicate Jake's era............

For instance, they rushed Lilo in at the expense of McCabe, and his goal kicking is under 50% (no use playing a territory game and then relying on a kicker who can't kick) and his form hasn't been too great........

Those early games with McCabe at 12 (Canes and Tahs in particular) were the Brumbies best of the season..........

We certainly need to have a lash and run it more often, we're too predictable.

However, we have a bigger issue.

Our tackle % completion rate, AND our scrum, are the worst in Super rugby this year. Dan McKeller is the defence coach, questions need to be asked regarding his capabilities at this level.

Going from one of the best defensive teams to the worst, in one year, his FIRST year, is a pretty damning coincidence.

Our scrum is the worst?

Our starting scrum is excellent.........

They've dominated a lot of teams this year..........

Unfortunately our bench props aren't anywhere near the same standard.........

There's been so many games where the Brumbies' scrum has shoved the opposition around for 50 mins, and then lose a tighthead as soon as the replacements come on (Reds, Chiefs, Rebels)...........

The other obvious issue is that the Brumbies don't have the depth they had last year.........

Palmer, Kimlin, Fainga'a, Holmes and Prior all gone...........

Pocock injured again, but no Hooper or George Smith around..........

That Fardy/Hooper and Fardy/Smith combination forced a lot of turnovers, and now Fardy seems to be trying to pick up the slack and is getting pinged more...........

Worst % completion rate, which i'm assuming means we lose the most ball.
