The logo is even on the back of the boys & girls jerseys, yes its on going. I know a fair bit about it because I have someone close to me working in Port Morseby & this program does the same thing with the PNG Hunters a Rugby League side that playing in the local queensland comp.

Also have a look at this link, goes to show how much money is spent in the pacific from the aust govt. (obviously not just on sport) health, education & covid relief is the majority.

p.s. yes I am aware that world rugby was also a significant investor of both Drua & Moana

I'm certainly not having a go at anyone this is just a topic I know well about.

And it wouldn't surprise me considering the political atmosphere involving China right now, that sports funding for the Pacific nations maybe easier to achieve, financially aiding teams like the Drua & Pacifika will not cost huge amounts but the goodwill it would generate could be well worth it.

No it wasn’t.
It was a NZ report, conducted by NZ stakeholders for NZ rugby. A draft version of the recommendations and findings were leaked before it was even signed off.

The Drua are funded by the Australia govt, they only way they will loose that is if suddenly the Fiji govt allow a Chinese naval base to be built.

A proposal for a Chinese Naval Base may get them a second team?

A more likely situation would be Albo going to Fiji with the Rabbitohs and trying to make League their game with a ton of government cash

Remember how NZRU extended an invite to Fiji Rugby to establish the Drua in the ITM Cup, which inevitably provided the foundations for Super Rugby!

Remember how they also enabled the Fijiana Women's team join the NZ womens XV tournament? And facilitated all those Pacific Nations Cup U20s tournaments and 7s tournaments with Fiji teams.

Anyway it's getting off subject that I brought up which is only the decision needs to be made now, so all can move on,(including Aus teams) and don't back off as I said a couple of times 'the boy who cries wolf' comes to mind.
I will also add I personally haven't heard him say it (only Morgan Turunui claiming that Hamish spoke to hom on it and reconnecting with SA rugby at super level?) so could all be wrong of course.
NZ season starting a little later, and having time for North/South games again would personally suit me just fine anyway, just not sure it's best for either country, and neither do I think staying on exact same course forever right.

That player cam thing is something Sky do here sometimes, same as spider cam, personally not a fan as it gives a strange picture of game. Still it good to have option for those who like it. I assume the player cam is like the NZ Sky one and they have a different one each test.

I don't mind Hamish having a shot since RA have their best decade ahead of them (Content wise. Can't comment on play). NZ rugby only serve to help themselves (nothing too wrong with that) but they love to masquerade as everyone's mate....as long as it benefits them.

I hope it's more akin to what Sky UK have done in the linked video, using a first-person perspective. No doubt more difficult to achieve in a contact sport like rugby, as opposed to cricket or F1 where it's already being used successfully.

These are all good, pleased to see Stan continuing to try new things. I'd love to see a "wide view" option, which would allow you to see basically the whole field. Probably not something you'd use much live, but really interesting for analysis. The NFL provides this footage as a premium product through their streaming service.
